In defence of proud fox, I remember him being very bitter and slating Pearsons football style, but praising his ability. It was most the other Leicester fans that belittled him, with the odd one or two being honest and praising him. Andy Kings Crown Jewels was a stand out bellend in the fact that he always slated pearson and obviously never rated him. I remember there was one called Sousa lucky boy on the old 606 who was extremely critical of Pearson, Danger Fox talked aload of **** too.
If something is not done about this prick I for 1 will leave this board, there that will start the ball rolling I hope. This is intended for TWS and not Proud Fox BTW, at least Fox comes here and talks football not utter crap to get users going.
My reading of his sarcasm was that it was aimed at Burnsy (interviewer), who had just asked NP the same question and hadn't accepted the answer.
Don't be daft. He's not from Leicester, he never supported Leicester, he has as much 'love' for Leicester as any of the other clubs he's worked at.
be interesting to see leicester fans opinions of pearson next week, when he turns them down and they end up with keane!
How does he have an affiliation with Leicester when he was:- ..born in Nottingham ..played for Shrewsbury, Sheffield Weds and Middlesborough ..managed Carlisle, WBA, Newcastle and Southampton, before turning up at Leicester for a couple of years?
I don't think it matters too much about the relative merits of the club: Leicester City: bought a lot of players which Nigel may not want and he will have to try to use them effectively or get rid and get other players Hull City: Dealt with a bad financial situation and got his players in but still having problems scoring goals, maybe have more money soon I don't think it matters too much about the relative financial situation of the clubs What is important is the money he will be paid. How many of the employees on here would worry too much about the problems of a job if they doubled their pay? Hull City should be willing to give him a new contract at least near to what Leicester will pay him. What's £500k a year extra (plus increases for the others in the management team) compared to the financial cost of getting a new manager and different players?
Danes Dyke has no great depth and, even if it had, there's always a used condom or pair of discarded knickers to break your fall......
Here's the impression I've gleaned from visting the Leicester board since January: 1. Generally NP was seen as a good manager but someone higher profile was now needed after their new owners had taken over (beacause they were going to buy the league), so they didn't want him back. His style was seen as a little too direct for them too. 2. Hobbs was great but became rubbish. If he returns to his old ways we've made a great signing. 3. Fryatt needs too many chance and isn't of Championship quality. 4. Waghorn isn't good enough for them anymore....... Generally the Leicester fans are ok, a bit similar to us in their outlook. However they've got some real idiots recently due to the influx of cash (a bit like some of our new fans who joined us after promotion to the Premier League). I'll be really disappointed in NP if he leaves now. I know this won't go down well, but I like the rank and file of Leicester fans. It's just some of the childish poster who let them down.
OLM & Dutch.. can you boot out this plonker as well as TWF pls..? Ice cream face.. if NP stays (and I think he will..) grab your coat and sod off if the nicest possible way..
someone talking sense.. good.. NP has taken over a season to assemble a squad he ENJOYS working with. He isn't going to throw it all away, head off down to Leicester and do some more dirty washing. NP is a man who although often tetchy with the media, wants to get on with his job. He'll be paid quite well enough anyway by HCAFC, he is respected by all and sundry. Anyway they say, "never go back", it's a decent rule of thumb. I think all he wanted from HCAFC was what has just happened - a refusal for Leicester to talk to him.. that's what he was hinting at yesterday in the Burnsy interview "you'll have to ask the club".. The club have spoken..
They would need to pay me £10m a year tax free to work in Leicester. It genuinely is a **** hole, far worse than Hull.
Just posted this on Leicester board Why would any manager unless they are desperate come to you as you obviously do not show your managers any loyalty whatsoever these days.If I was a manager I would really have to ask myself some searching questions like: 1. Am I that desperate for the money? 2. Will this harm my reputation? 3. Can I definitely get this team up this season when another supposedly great manager has failed to get them firing 4. Do I want to give up my job security for a short term attempt at getting into the premiership? 5. Am I that desperate? I would hazard a guess that Pearson would have looked at all these points from his home in Sheffield and come to a conclusion that he is not that shallow and that he would maybe use the situation to his and his team's advantage at Hull. If he does go then he will still have my thanks for the team he has built for us so far albeit it unfinished.
In my 'stupid' opinion I rate Nigel Pearson as a decent loyal and honourable man. Something rare nowadays..he walked from Leicester as he was not shown the same respect or loyalty . While owners want Nigel Pearson he won't leave...If a big club come in for him I am sure he would be allowed to talk to that club out of respect for what he has done for us..I will put £100 of my money mr fox against £50 of your money that NP will stay at Hull City where he is building his team and where money will be available to him in January and in the summer.. If my post is stupid so be it it's just what I think of Nigel Pearson my fav manager at Hull City since Terry Neil ..
If he stays on the forum though and keeps posting his anti-pearson/current team stuff then he can continue to look a complete fool when there is no evidence on which he can justify having those opinions. He'll just appear completely bitter and too stubborn to change his opinions.
