No thanks, Sparky, you can keep that pile of $hite over your side of the border. Possibly Cooper as he is a good Championship level manager. The other 2 are in the same category as Warnock, Bruce etc for me.

I wouldn’t have put it quite like Supcon did but the only one of these 3 I’d have would be Cooper.
Hughes has never done anything as a manager. Pulis has bad history with us and I can’t see him being accepted by the fans.

No, he’s still here…. We don’t do knee-jerk manager sackings like some in this division. How’s your new manager doing? Not a lot from looking at the league position:emoticon-0125-mmm::emoticon-0125-mmm:<laugh><laugh>

John Herdman is extremely well respected here in Canada due to the World Cup but I'm not sure how he would be in the tough areas of the Championship. He is of course English by birth but I haven't googled his resume. In my opinion he is a remarkably likeable man who knows what he wants and is loved by his players, so perhaps someone needs to tell Lansdown. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Just realised we have a game tomorrow night at Millwall
No press conference today by Nigel Pearson or his staff.
Will he be in charge tomorrow

I can't see anything happening on the Pearson front in the near future. Am I right in thinking that Craig Shakespeare is unemployed, and could it be a scenario for him to rejoin his ex-team mate at Bristol City until the end of the season? Their partnership at Leicester worked very well and perhaps a good second opinion for Nigel to work with might just save his job and our season. A managerial change for any team at this point in the season is a gamble that may work, or be a disaster, depending on the overall dynamics of the situation. Do we need the change is the million dollar question.

What is Daniel Farke, the ex-Norwich boss doing now? He could be a good shout.
Scrap that, just seen he’s at Borussia Monchengladbach, so not an option.
Stephen Schumacher at Plymouth in L1 is doing a great job on an absolute shoestring, so would be worth a look?
Mark Warburton, another who did a great job at QPR with no money and kids, he set them up to be where they are now.

Schumacher has indeed done a great job at Plymouth, but might consider that his current team and ours could well be swapping leagues come May.
I also like Mark Robins at Coventry and with their ground ownership issues not going away, might that tempt him to apply ?
Maybe there is an ex PL player that fancies us ? Viera has done well at Palace and Kolo Toure has just taken on Wigan.
I also always liked Nuno Espirito Santos who did a good job at Wolves. He's currently managing in Jeddah.

Good point regarding Schumacher, and certainly one that I assume would be on his mind if approached. I nearly put Santos as well, but the money he’s on in Jeddah would probably rule him out unless it was a side at the top of the Championship. I do think we need a sensible approach next time around.

Haven't read anything out Pearson, but are you guys saying a loss tonight and he'll be gone?

I would doubt it OS whatever the result, but it may come to pass in the New Year if results and league position don't improve

Of course an agent will stick up for his client, which he should. For context,

Point 1 was through out of contract players departing, so effectively there was nothing to actually do, it’s not like he sold anyone to recoup money
Point 2 is fair enough, although it’s largely tied to Point 1
Point 3 is a result of point 1 & 2, he had no choice
Point 4 is disputable. Most of the “squad value” lies in Semenyo (although his value is already deceasing from last seasons high), and Scott, both of whom, were at the club before Pearson arrived. He hasn’t added any noticeable value for me, maybe Naismith as he was on a free and should be worth something.
