I’m expecting fireworks at half-time. That’s because I’m +8 hours ahead of you guys, so kick off is at 11pm here. Re: the game. Expecting three or four changes to the line-up, a better performance, but ultimately disappointment. No way our defence can keep Mitrovic quiet.
He spent 3 seasons on loan with different clubs in the Championship. In his final season on loan there, he was voted player of the season at Fulham, who were promoted. And then we immediately sold him. What the f*ck were we thinking? If you're not going to give a player - who has played that well out on loan - a run in the first team, then there is literally no point in loaning out players.
Playing away might suit Jones and Saints TBH. The away fans ALWAYS get behind the team whereas it got toxic very quickly on Monday. Need ABK back in for Mitrovic.
Reed has always been massively overrated by people because he came through the academy. He's just not that good. Sure, we could do with him now but only because Lavia is injured and we didn't replace Romeu.
Most likely because Ralph told him that he wasn't part of our plans here. Of course he would have stayed had we wanted him.
What about Diallo? We don't need Reed because we have Diallo, right? That's what we are meant to be saying.
Hes been much better than prowsey this season tbf. wins more tackles and gets the team moving forward. He’s definitely much better than Diallo
How do you know? We never even gave him a chance. He played like twice, looked really good and then was discarded
He didn't look really good. He looked bang average. Anyway, I don't understand all this regret coming out now. We simply didn't miss him when he was sold.
I honestly don’t think St Mary’s is that toxic for a team in our position? I mean some light booing for sure, but we have been terrible at home for a very long time (must be about the worst home team in the 92 over the last five years?) most other PL teams would be in full open revolt by now. Away fans were the first to chant for Ralph out as well at Brentford away, so no guarantees of good behaviour there. Absolutely agree re ABK though, bizarre to see Lyanco ahead of him and DCC against Brighton, as much as I like the guy he is absolutely a squad player.
Saturday 31st December 2022 Fulham v Southampton . 15:00 KO Referee: Graham Scott. Assistants: Derek Eaton, Wade Smith. Fourth official: Darren Bond. VAR: David Coote. Assistant VAR: Dan Cook.
Maybe so, but at least the away fans create a good atmosphere, at least at the start of the game! At home it's very quiet and then we go behind and then the boos start.
