Other clubs don't drop off like ours. Plenty others have been down the leagues and kept more than 3.5k. Clearly they have more fans who don't need instant success to make supporting their club 'justifiable'.

you are talking about clubs with traditionally good football support
at City the fans came in the 60s and 70s because we were doing well

Rubbish, Christie spooned one over from 12 yards, Oscar hit the bar, Tufan dragged one within inches of the post. Their goal wasn’t even a good chance ffs it was a very good finish. We created more than enough and they only had good chances when we sacrificed our shape in order to go for it.

I feel like you’re choosing to ignore this for the sake of criticising the system of which you won’t change your mind on

Winning as opposed to doing well. We can win every game at a **** level and get better support than doing just OK in the second tier.

It's one dimensional, fickle support and we turn quicker than most during games too. Often disagree with Sharky but putting pressure on our own players isn't support and for many the result, not the game is the be all and end all when it comes to justifying attendance or assessing performance. We're very bipolar in Hull, yesterday being a case in point.

It's different elsewhere. Even places like Norwich ffs.

From where I was sat I was wondering how the **** we hadn't scored numerous times, even before we conceded.

Even the one Oscar headed over was more than just a half chance.

We created enough yesterday to put five or six past Blackpool, we just lacked composure at the right time. That'll correct itself over time. What we need to do is stop pratting about and up the tempo. Any team will be happy to see us pass the ball about in our own half, there's no danger there provided our wingers are marked, there's no out ball. Blackpool weren't up to much, but they didn't need to do much to nullify us as we tend to do that ourselves. Keeping the ball is important, but the sequence of play needs to move up the pitch, not back towards the keeper.

If you were to ask a neutral which of the two teams they thought would be in the bottom three in May, I imagine based on that they'd say Blackpool.

2 long shots in the first half, one of which went in but were no better chances than the multitude we ballooned over from distance. Second half they created more after we brought Smith on for Jones, the one McLoughlin headed out for a corner after missing Madines foot was also well defended as we got a deflection on the ball into him which is why he missed it a and shaun was covering. Coyle tackle again denied them the chance so you can't really call it clear cut and the kid who'd already scored was probably their best one from the edge of the box, but wasn't a banker and neither was the one he scored.

We created better, more numerous chances throughout the game but finishing went awry. We could also have created more with a better delivery, but that's why we didn't win comfortably, not that they deserved anything or us playing out. We should have been well up in the game even by the time of Ingram's brainfart.

    Time will tell.

Maybe some just see progress in the last 6 games and some green shoots in the performances. Others clearly don't.

Truth is it could still probably go either way, but as long as we have a better second half of the season than first we'll stay up comfortably and there's at least some evidence for that being more likely than not as things stand.

Yes it's obvious theres progress and we are a far better team than under shotas chaos

But we need to win some games or relegation is a real risk, creating incredible amount of chances doesnt really amount to anything if we are not getting 3 points

If we go and hammer birmingham and wigan feel free to quote me

I'm not saying it'll be on Friday, but I wouldn't be surprised if we did hand somebody their arse before the season is out.

They didn’t really aside from a couple of half chances, they’re a poor side, even their commentators couldn’t believe that they were ahead.
