the way I see this squad is
gk 1 worldie, 1 option and 2 good kids
rb 1 Trent, one **** senior option, 1 kid
lb. 2 options
rcb. konate but rest are gone
lcb. vvd but fading. no cover.
no 6. fabinho fading, 1 kid
lcm. thiago fading, rest are goners
rcm. Henderson fading fast. one kid.
lw. Diaz, gakpo, carvalho
cf firmino Nunez
rw salah jota. 2 kids. Gordon and doak
that midfield is an eyesore. Keita, ox, Milner are all toast. Jones has constant injuries. we need 6 seniors imo but with 3 fading it's a big issue

I think problem is numbers as well. Job for Mito but do we have enough space for more foreign players after gakpo?
Also just wonder if with midfield we’re waiting till summer where we will have more squad places. Said after summer window, we’re so overcrowded in midfield that was prob the reason we didn’t sign anyone, despite fact we needed more quality.

Plus Jones, Carvahlo who have also played in midfield. That’s essentially 9-11 players for 3 positions. Squad morale is just as important and we’ve said how over last few years those fringe players have never kicked up a fuss about game time while we’ve been winning trophies and that def helps.
Suddenly sign 2 more CMs and become massively overcrowded and have to drop players from the CL squad as well.
Might be wrong but think just waiting till summer, Milner ox Keita will move on and free up about 400k a week and 3 squad places.

Milner and ox can go **** off. I'm sure Jimmy would agree. they can fill in as subs here and there til the summer as thry are reliable older players... or can play rb.
I know Elliott is young but i think he is past the age when their will be a sudden growth spurt.

Seriously, I have no idea - but a lot of signings have come out of the blue in recent years so I wouldn't be amazed at whatever happens.
What would amaze me is if Klopp and co were blissfully unaware of the situation in midfield and weren't attempting to resolve it.
His predictive skills are on a level with his spelling it seems.
