He's a total ****house and should be sent off in every shoot-out.
Absolutely no chance of that happening, though.

Agreed, although I do like how the major tournaments can give a platform for lesser known players to showcase their ability and get themselves out there.

Good few players impressed at this one; Ounahi, Souttar, Kudos, Cho, Doan, Livakovic to name just a few.

Isco's had his contract terminated by Sevilla after just half a season. Played most games prior to Lopetegui's sacking but apparently Sampioli doesn't want him and he also had a row with Monchi.

Been someone loosely linked with us and Arsenal for years so wouldn't be surprised if his name crops again albeit I don't see him as a Conte player, even if we could use some creativity. Maybe he'll link back up with Lopetegui at Wolves?

Imagine posting that a few years ago when he was managing Spain and Wolves were in the Championship! <laugh>

Always thought he was such a beautiful player to watch. But injuries and struggling to really define his position in a very competitive Real Madrid environment probably cost him. And I know some people who watched Madrid regularly always said his end product was a bit off, even if he was technically wonderful.

    Today;s rumour roundup

    - Diario AS say we've opened negotiations with Sporting for Pedro Porro, and Sporting are willing to accept a bid below his €45m (aka £39.5m) release clause
    - ClacioMercato claim we're going to launch a €95m combined bid for Alessandro Bastoni and Giorgio Scalvini
    - CalcioMercato have not got their heads around the idea that, when one player plays for Inter and another plays for Atalanta, it is hardly a "combined bid" if one team approaches two different teams with bids for players completely unrelated to one another

    Next Summer's Shopping List
Paul O'Keefe has forgotten that a transfer window opens in the coming days and has gone straight into next summer, claiming that a LCB and an understudy for Dier are top of the docket

So putting aside how Lenglet apparently doesn't exist, expect regular updates on Bastoni for 6-8 months while people try really, really hard to spell Zabarnyi correctly on a regular basis

I doubt Bastoni would leave Inter halfway through the season, so the best we can hope for is to jump the queue and buy-to-loan in Jan, with him joining in June and Lenglet potentially going back to Barca.

LCB isn't a massive issue tbh, the other two slots are of far greater concern. We are in urgent need of a Dier upgrade, while the drop off in quality from Romero to any other option at rcb is alarming. Sanchez needs to leave, permanently, next month, while Tanganga desperately needs a loan.

Wonder if we will get Conte the quality CB he needed in the summer

doubt it because we are Spurs and there will be every excuse under the sun given by the apologists for ENIC not pulling their finger out of their arses

Cantwait for the Skinirar rumour mill before we sign a dud who can’t get a game anywhere else

Got till end of next month then it’s back to **** off ENIC default position from me

    That's why it's next summer's

That being said, we should probably look to sign the young CB on the summer list in January, because Tanganga definitely needs a run of games on loan (especially after yesterday's display where Sanchez was an improvement), and it has to be said I expect Sanchez will be off in the summer so moving up one bit of our summer business would be wise

The defence needs strengthening in January if the club has a chance to finish in the top 4 again. Romero, Lenglet and Ben Davies (just) are ok but Tanganga, Dier (his form has been rubbish for ages) and Sanchez need to be moved on. 1 CB in January and another in the summer (possibly 2 if Lenglet doesn't stay) are necessities for me.

This goes back to what I said in the match thread about Conte being too rigid

Dier's shown he can fill in effectively as a RCB in recent weeks, while most of us can see that Lenglet has the passing that Conte wants from his CCB...but Conte persists on keeping Dier as a CCB in spite mistakes creeping into his game on a regular basis and Lenglet as a LCB, even though yesterday the most logical change to make to our backline was sub off Tanganga for Davies and just shunt the other CBs one spot to their right

Based on what O'Keefe says, we shouldn't be looking for a young Dier understudy (especially as Rennes are reportedly sending Rodon back to us in January), realistically we should be looking for a different CB altogether - which is why I brought up Zabarnyi in the match thread as he's probably closer to Ledders in his reading of the game plus he has the dinked passes Dier doesn't really try doing anymore

Really hope Fabio’s on the phone to those at Barca trying to secure Lenglet on a permanent deal. Been really impressed with him, comfortably our best ball playing CB by a considerable distance and looks nowhere near as nervy or error-prone as he was in his last 12 or so months with Barca.

If we can get a quality CB to go in the middle of him and Romero, that’s a top level defence to build from. Though there are games where I think Davies could be more handy, especially rough and rugged/ on the back foot ones.

Apparently we’ve signed Shevchenko Jr, Kristian.

Joined from Chelsea’s academy. If he turns out even half as good as Shevchenko Sr we’ll be sorted for a long term Kane replacement.

Except, didn't Shevchenko crash and burn at Chelsea while his strike partner Redbrov crashed with us.?
