He is. Its why we're battering the posession and passing. Need to find more finishes but we're not far away.
BBC The draw lifts Blackpool to 22nd place in the Championship, two points behind Hull. Blackpool, who arrived at the MKM Stadium with just two points from their past six games. FFS
Well that was a hard watch, bloody freezing as well, now back home thawing out, glass of vino in hand. To be honest, first half I thought we were in control, playing some decent stuff, no danger, they looked there for the taking...until the self inflicted danger, a brain dead decision by Ingram, goal down. It’s all well and good Liam’s desire to play out from the back, but surely the players should use their brains, when and if not appropriate. Liam was doing his nut with Ingram, he responds back, well you told us to play out! Second half, ten man Blackpool didn’t look like a man down, very organised, playing long ball to their big men. Another brain dead decision, Coyle goes on a great attacking run, then lays a wayward ball off, just go yourself! A good goal by Oscar to rescue a point, but 2 dropped for me, poor decision making. Also, thought we were fortunate not to concede a penalty late 2nd half, Ingram didn’t get the ball, took the man, looked stonewall from South end. Officials very poor, say no more. Very frustrating afternoon. And chill. And for Tigerscave, not presently buzzing like the proverbial fridge!
Poor result but better than losing. Let’s hope in a difficult transfer window we bring in two or three players to make a big difference. Hopefully we will get Tetteh back because our home record is appalling. Also the players do need to learn when to give someone the ball in our own last third and when not to.
Keepers need to be as good with their feet as with their hands these days. I think his tenure as number 1 will be short
Playing out from the back is fine Other teams can do that while moving the ball upfield but City do it by messing about too near to their own goal
It's about learning when to go long. Takes time but if we flip flop between systems and style of play because we've conceded a couple then we'll end up going back to losing games like today and Sunderland.
Hull City head coach Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside: "I want to play out from the back. It's given us control in games but we have to recognise when the time is right to do so. "In complete control of the game, we played ourselves into trouble and gifted them a lead which wasn't deserved at that stage in the game. "We dominated the game and that's the most frustrating aspect - we're not getting the points we deserve from it. We need to be more clinical and ruthless in the final third." Blackpool head coach Michael Appleton told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We didn't get the victory we deserved. But it feels like a moral victory in a sense. "We didn't get the three points but I thought the spirit, the courage and the performance in terms of the skill factor that we possessed at times - especially down to 10 men - deserved more from the game."
How many goals should we lose before we accept the players shouldnt be playing the ball around their own penalty area?
