Get fuked knob head!! Dont assume anything about me and dont try to use other posters to back you up. We lost. I think we needed to unlock their defence as they just sat back and allowed us the ball. TC has way more ability than Evans or Mckenna and should have been on, A from the start or B at 60 minutes. Their second goal came about because Mckenna dithered on the ball before dropping Hobbs in the sh1t who gave it away.
Chaz I think you will find that the facts speak for themselves, we had 18 shots on goal yesterday to their 3 and 12 of them were on target. Like SA quite rightly said Green was the difference in the game. Incase you want to call me too I present you with http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/match/2011/nov/05/hullcity-v-westhamunited
OK back to the footy, McKenna was great yesterday, tackling, covering and interlinking really well. He even won a number of headers which is incredible for a short fella. TC unfortunately hasn't got the same pace, can't tackle and rarely heads a ball. He can, if given space and time, play some lovely passes. Unfortunately you don't get much time in the championship, hence why he's largely ineffective. For me, sadly, he'll never be anything more than a squad player. McKenna is a more effective squad player for the reasons above.
I thought mckenna was very very good yesterday, thats the best i have seen us play in a long time and i think it was down to the formation played. Seemed to be a 4-2-3-1 and it enabled us to play loads of quick short passes to cut them open. The problem was, as many have already said, that we didnt take our chances. Adebola, very effective, what we have been missing, just needed him to be about 10 years younger so he could actually move faster than a snail! If we could get in another, younger, more mobile 'target man' then i think that formation is definitely the way to go, especially at home. Maybe Nile Ranger on loan?? At the end of the day, you cant afford to miss the chances we did and not perform for 15 minutes of a game against a team of west hams quality. However, if we can play like that every week we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season!
Mckenna set up the goal at Forest as well, with a good header over their back 4. I thought Evans and Mckenna did well throughout the game, as did everyone in a City shirt.
I'm not surprised they thought they were poor, I was shocked first half that Allardyce had put out a team where it was so easy to get through the midfield. Even without the one touch passing we were using, players were just walking through like they weren't there, they could have had Bullard and Okocha in there for all the tackles that were being made in the middle of the park.
