This team/squad has looked pretty crap since before the summer window shut and nothing has convinced me otherwise. * this is neither a good squad, nor was Ralph getting the most out of it
Not closing them down, massive gaps in the midfield to play through, Lyanco keeps rushing out of defence, no possession and yet we are only losing because of a mistake by Baz. Mind you Brighton are only playing in first gear.
Seems we've woken up a bit. Much better last 5 minutes. Brighton are a good side but the worst thing we can do is sit off then and let them play at their pace. ****ing get into them Saints.

I never thought it was a good squad and have always said that Ralph made them look better when we played the high press style. It flattered to deceive. And since we stopped the press we have seen just how limited the players are. No team wanted our players, except Che/Everton, in the summer, which tells us all we need to know.
At least we’ve wised up. With Ralph it would take us until 70mins to try something else but NJ has wrestled back some sort of initiative. Brighton were just pulling our players (Lyanco, Diallo and Djenepo particularly) out of position and pouring forward into those gaps for the first 25
