I hope that Doherty & Tanganga take their opportunities today, stronger side than I was expecting to be honest, we need to start well today and hope front 3 can hit the ground running for the 2nd half of the season.

Absolutely no idea as to how this game will go. Personally I think any of the clubs who had numerous players at the World Cup will count anything from this weekend’s games as a bonus.
Why? Even someone who played in the final has had 8 days to get ready. FFS, most get over 100k a week to kick a bloody round thing, unless they are injured I don't see the issue.
No Emerson or Sanchez is good but Doherty and Tanganga aren’t much better. It shows how this squad is still defensively weak. New RWB and at least 1 centre back must be the priority in the window.
Because this has never happened before. Will it be like a first game of the season or will the fact they’ve still been playing competitive means there’s no difference? Then you’ve got any emotional fall out. Really think that there will be some strange results this week.
Only downer is Spence still not making the squad - who’s recovered from his fever. So Emerson’s hold on Conte isn’t quite done, as it should be him out of the squad.
Conte doesn't like Forster playing it short, for some reason. Made a big show of telling him to kick it long in the Nice friendly after about half an hour. Really didn't work out well for Harvey White, but Kane's a much better target.
