I'll take him. Yes I know he isn't the most loved player in the EPL.. but who cares if he gets paid so on and so? If he gets us the 20 goals a season we need then who actually here would be complaining? I wouldn't and I doubt many of us on here would.

I'll take him. He's still 27 years old, has excellent pace and movement and is a clinical finisher. Yes he's ''all-round play'' isn't that great but he's still IMO one of the best goalscorers in the PL. His pace, agility, movement, clinical finishing and dribbling are his main assests and that would suits us perfectly. Yes he would cost £££ in terms of transfer fee and wages but if he does the business.. who cares?

He is exactly the type of player we wouldn't sign.

Our age limit is 26 isn't it? His wages would be sky high, transfer fee sky high, loyalty is awful and would probably shag other players lasses, so doubt this would ever happen

Think that he's too similar to what we've already got : Best/Ba/Ameobi all seem to be holding players. We need a pacy, technical forward ... if only Benny could play upfront :p

Yeah but to be honest I'll prefer someone younger, with more potential, cheaper and someone with more to his game than just pace and finishing. <ok>

Basically I'll want the NEXT Darren Bent. Maybe a French Darren Bent with a better ''all-round'' game haha. We need someone with explosive pace, great dribbling ability, good technique, good finishing and someone who works hard for the team.. ala Suarez/Silva sort of player would be great.

Bent is not pacy or technical.

OK he isn't the most technical but he definitely is quite pacey.. trust me. Not lighting quick but definitely has very good pace.

To be honest I'd probably play him over Ober on the wing..... Shame he's just too hit and miss.

Seems to be doing well on the left side of a front 3.

Also, on Aston Villa. Heskey plays on the wing for them haha

I think he works better as a winger than a striker to be honest. Bags of pace and can put in a decent cross when he wants to.

And really? <laugh> It's just like they're trying to keep him in the team for the sake of it, trying to find him anything to do <laugh>
