All the best Febbos It’s a difficult time of year after such an important person passes away. Tbh every Christmas I find a mixture of fun, but also emotional as you remember those no longer here. Hopefully in time you’ll be dressing cats up too?
Merry Xmas everyone. Before the chaos starts, I always allow myself a little time to reflect on my mum, who died on Xmas day. In 2008, following a short illness she was admitted to HRI ten days before Xmas.I was immediately advised to get the family together, as she only had hours left. She was put in her own room and in a lot of pain, We were concerned that understaffed nurses clearly weren’t able to give her the care she needed. As it became apparent that she was going to survive through night, they actually agreed we could use a spare room for dad to get his head down. She continued to defy medical predictions. Ten days later on Xmas day we finally persuaded dad to come away to have a Xmas dinner. She died peacefully when she was finally alone. Just reflecting on the irony. She loved Xmas and family been around her. She was determined to see Xmas day and managed to engineer having family around her for 10 extra days! And yet she enjoyed her privacy, so chose to pass when she finally had some time alone, in.a dignified manner with no fuss. Again, exactly as she would have wanted it. Miss you mum x
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all. (Hopefully with not too much snow to shovel - stay warm).
It'll be a simple toast - Please raise a glass to absent friends. Enjoy a peaceful and enjoyable day, one and all.
Happy Christmas to everyone, and here’s hoping to a fruitful new year for city Still all to play for.
A nice touch there from the lads. Though Doc's Scottish accent has a touch of the Hull about it and Elder sounds like he's giving a post match interview.
