Wife’s just returned from work, food in the oven, wine chilling, youngest is up a height ! About to sit down with a few drinks and watch Elf then one of my favourites It’s a Wonderful Life. Merry Christmas to you all and good health, I hope Santa brings us all 3 points on Boxing Day.
Been talking about Santa so seriously and for so long to my kids that I think I've talked myself into believing again. Not going to peek at bedtime just in case.
What a cracking thread this has been again this year...love these Christmas threads. I'm being greedy and having two Christmases. My son and his girlfriend are here tomorrow for the day, so Christmas Dinner for the 4 of us. My daughter who is 21 works in a care home, and she offered to work so another carer who has young children could have the day off. I didn't want her to miss out, so said I would do another Christmas dinner on boxing day. We agreed to leave the presents till then as well so she could have her Christmas....her and her boyfriend will both be coming over. Got all the veg prepped today, gammon cooked, just needs honey glazed. Really looking forward to the next couple of days now. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, you are all a cracking bunch on here....best wishes to you all.
Lovely post mate, very touching, you're the true embodiment of Christmas. All of my messages are sent and received ... ... once again, as I always believe will happen, it feels like there's a little magic in the air. So much so I've had a few moments of real laughter and a few tears. I always believe in the decency of people and some of the messages I've had, from here and elsewhere, have certainly reinforced that. Life isn't always fair, no one said it should be, and things don't always go the way we want. But if we allow ourselves to open our hearts a little love can find it's way out and a little back in. Happy Christmas to everyone, whatever you believe in ... ... just believe in yourself and those around you, we're not so bad when it comes down to it. All the best to you all and God bless us, every one.
I don't know if it's because we're away this Christmas but I've been thinking a lot of my late parents for the last few days and how much I miss them and the memories I have of them. They're the most important people we will ever know and they made us the people that we are. If your parents are still around cherish them and have a great day together
Your an amazing bloke mate, and an inspiration and someone I'd like to have another pint with after briefly meeting years ago when you threw my jacket over your shoulder . Seriously you are a top bloke and I wish you the best Xmas possible
I've got visions of him strutting down the road with your jacket, throwing it over his shoulder, while Staying Alive is playing in the background!!
He was sat opposite me in a pub. I handed it to him and asked him if he'd mind putting it on the windowsill behind him and he took it off me and threw it away.... What a nob
Seriously though hes a top bloke and how he is on here is real life smug. No bullshyte, and I'm the same to as are many other members I've met on here. Unfortunately we do get the odd b#llend though that have an online persona but in reality completely different and wouldn't say boo to a Goose.
Well the kids are in bed and the presents are under the tree. Had a lovely evening watching a film with the kids and catching up with family on what's app who where all getting ready for tomorrow. As I said earlier, I hope you all have magical days tomorrow and the absolute best for you all in 2023
Well the big man has been, not that my kids would know as they are still asleep Is it to early to open the cans? Asking for a friend
I'm up as well, and there's no kids here!! Said I would pick he daughter up and take her to work, save an expensive taxi.
Another one up here as well, so would like to wish every single one of you posters A very merry Christmas and best wishes for the festive period, enjoy your selves
Full belly after eating a drinking all day. 30 degrees and not a whiff or breeze. Beautiful Chrissy day
