On the Apologists board the Moderator's first post on the matchday thread was criticising the fans for no anti-Sandgaard chants. This was immediately corrected by Kojak. Ivor continually slams the supporters. Ivor continually criticises the Trust Ivor does nothing but criticise all things Charlton. A message board run by somebody that does not attend games. Strange.
Speaking for myself, my patience with Thomas Sandgaard has now expired but I take no pleasure in that. And I tried to support and defend him for longer than was reasonable - making myself look a fool in the process. That would have been a trivial price to pay had my faith not been misplaced after all. I ended up opposing life long Charlton fans in my efforts to believe in TS; fans like @Dick Plumb1 who I have great respect for and no cause to quarrel with. And I regret that. I don't always agree with the point of view of the Trust, but I think they are doing their best and with honest intentions. And my despair and criticism of Charlton Athletic has always been confined to the harmful influence of the people who have proven unworthy to be stewards of our beloved old Club. It would seem that Reams' heart is really with Wrexham at the end of the day, and their current revival is naturally calling to him. Running an admirably successful and independent Charlton fans' forum as he has done for 12 or 13 years now seems to be bringing him no fulfilment. And you seem to be right Elfs in your observation that he expresses very little comradeship with the vast majority of Charlton fans. The long term decline of Charlton Athletic is causing ever more distress to its supporters; past and present. Royston and others are doing what they can to deal with that pain.
Now out in Brazil, the apologists are wanting me to do some scouting, I have advised that wrecksum is the only place to go. They also have a very experienced scout on their doorstep. The Merry Xmas thread brings a tear to my eye
