Apparently FIFA have told the FA they cannot put any poopies on the England shirts for the up coming friendly to mark remembrance day.

Personally i think if this turns out to be the case its absolutly shocking. I think the reason is because FIFA don't allow any religious or cultural beliefs on countries strips, which is fair enough. But this is to remember people who lost their lives.

I'd put them on the strips And just accept the punishment, what would they do ? Fine the FA?

I Can't imagine a single person who wouldn't sign that petition. I can't even see a single reason why FIFA have done this. Or what even makes FIFA think they have the right to stop such an important event. There must be so many people who feel really strongly about this and i hope some common sense comes into practice.

FIFA regularly make shocking decision around football but this is going beyond the Relms of football, and when the mass audiences of international football can be used to mark such an event i think it's disgraceful how they can step in.

You know what annoys me? I'm not bothered about the poppy on the England shirt thing... it's just xenophobic pricks on facebook acting up all this "sick of these people coming into our country" and "**** off back to where you came from" ****. Urgh, it's ****ing horrible.

It's like last year when there anti-war radicalists burning poppies and everyone was being borderline racist to Muslims <doh> I mean.. what!? It's just ridiculous. Yes, all Muslims are like that aren't they <doh> Fools.

I hate it when I see the number of cretins who like the pages! Makes me depressed about the country I live in tbh. It was worst in August, when I see that 90% of facebook users voted on a poll, that we should have sent the army into the London Riots! <doh> <doh>

The irony of that is, probably 99% of their ancestors down the line aren't even originally British anyway.
