I wonder what his excuse will be once we get the FFP under control? Assuming he is still at the club..

Think what he is saying is we have to go with what we have.
But he wants to improve the first team.
Nige play players in the correct positions As long as they give 100% fans will back them.
The showing against a very poor Stoke side was shocking-no energy-no passion-no commitment.
Big couple of weeks coming up.

When a certain LJ was in charge??
We are Bristol City, it’s what we do!!
The difference we have now to what we had then is a relegation battle on top..

Let's be fair here the football was **** the last two seasons before NP arrived and apart from league 1 and 2 signings and freebies arriving he has the same players with some youth coming through.
It was always going to be tough but there is no excuse for playing wrong players in wrong positions.

NP always had a tough job on his hands dealing with the **** show that was left behind.

Are we looking to play good football in League 1 then?
Bit of an excuse mate, he's not sorted the defence out...which has been a PRIORITY...we can all see it....we are where we are because we leak goals..
Again I stress, he's said himself, he's not bothered about bringing in players for the sake of......he's had plenty of time to at least sort out what's required..
You and a few on here may not believe it, but I really wanted him to succeed....but for some reason it's not working and IMO the excuses are getting lost on me.......NP himself hasn't complained of not being able to go out and buy players to address the problem, he believes he has the experience & knowhow to sort it...
I'm struggling to trust that he will..

Of course it was going to be tough for any new manager coming in after COVID ravaged our finances and buy sell model; however, the appeal of NP was his experience in the game, and his ability to work on a shoestring. Sadly, he hasn’t really done that. The only area of the team that NP has made significant signings, and where our problems are, are in the areas he has brought players in. 99% of the remainder of the squad, were, as you say already here in some capacity. The big difference is we are at the opposite end of the table consistently since LJ left. Personally, I’d take LJ’s $hite football and chances of the play-offs going into the final few games of a season v NP’s $hite football and facing a relegation battle going into the final few games of the season, every day of the week. But hey ho, each to their own…

I'M sorry but watching the football NP puts on the pitch is so much better than what i watched under LJ and DH those last two years.
Conceding goals has been our problem - i agree but if Kalas was fit it would have made a huge difference.
For me playing King over Klose and Atkinson is crazy.

I really hope he can sort it as long term it will be worth it but if he keeps playing players out of position that will be his downfall sadly.

I have a feeling going to be lots of changes in and out in Jan 2023.

Sometimes yes, often no. Kalas was fit last season and we still conceded a lot of goals, some people are making him out be the messiah. Yes, he will improve the back line, and possibly with Naismith & Atkinson he will form a good trio.

    Sorry,

Did you watch the QPR, Birminham, Reading, Millwall & Stoke games....not to mention Lincoln?..
Most of that was pure sh!te..
Are we talking one player (Kalas) making the difference?

Come on..in all fairness he's had plenty of time to sort things out at the back.....most being far too many blunders/mistakes, it's become a pattern....not sure Kalas would have made a difference to those.....I still think we lack a leader, orchestrating instructions etc
