Yep. It’s what competitive, aspirational clubs do. We’ve got 14 years of bad habits to get rid of. Look at City. World Cup winning striker, and one of the standout players, Julian Alvarez is their sub.
Also one thing City are good at is buying players who are quite comfortable playing in multiple positions. We need to find that guy who can play right across the front 3 without too much bother.
He’s young enough to be successful. But I agree it’s a worry he’s been injured for so long with a thigh injury. It must have been a muscle tear maybe?
You should have looked at the facts. Yes he’s has the odd injury where he’s missed the odd game here and there. This was his worst injury. Let’s just focus on the fact he hit the ground running and got 2 goals in 3 appearances
He got the injury because, unlike Wood, he actually runs around: Wasn’t even during a match, was away with Sweden which must have driven Howe ****ing mental.
I'll go by the reporters that cover the club and Eddie Howe. https://www.shieldsgazette.com/spor...e-on-alexander-isak-and-callum-wilson-3957842 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...stles-mid-season-friendlies-thigh-injury.html https://theathletic.com/4011169/2022/12/17/isak-injury-news-newcastle/ https://www.newcastleworld.com/spor...sak-hint-amid-newcastle-united-injury-3957885 https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...exander-isak-injury-newcastle-united-25288198
Can Isak play off the right? Got to get him on the pitch 1st! I guess what I'm saying is Man City are v good at getting versatile players in. Due to previous financial limitations and poor management we have not.
Wood has played more and got more goals... the most crucial thing is that he's capable of kicking a ball every week.
