That sounds like all the other Premier league teams. Are Saints the only team that regularly get worse when the subs come on?

 

Not sure I understand. We’ve improved with subs, though Walcott off now obviously.

 

JWP would be so much more effective if he occasionally moved forward in between the lines instead of always dropping back and playing a basic sideways ball to the CBs. its so uninspiring and basic.

 

How old is Edozie. He looks very good

 

Tonight the subs have worked, but over the past few seasons, the subs haven’t been good enough to change the game when we needed an impact.

 

Subs come on we score, if that's worse I'll take it.

 

Turns 20 in January. And should be starting, for me.

 

We’ll hopefully this will change with SR. Edozie certainly offering something we’ve lacked.

 

Moi has been our best player from the starting 11.

Been saying that since his first few sub appearances. He creates more and causes more problems in 20 minute cameos than the rest of our midfield does all game.

 

Badly phrased. Was trying to imply that for years Saints just haven’t had good sub options. Now we have.

 

Not with any regularity over the past two years. Lacks creativity, lacks any sort of end product or dynamism. Works hard but we need more than that.

 

Thing is if 5-3-2 is Jones’ preferred formation, Edozie doesn’t really have a place to play.
