They're mostly teenage girls apparently. After you've all upset people, you may be able to go skateboarding
Just why can't people be nice.. I am sure Meghan would just go away and live happily in USA if we just smothered her in indifference and niceness and then ignored her. "Very sorry you are upset, sorry we said horrid things".. "we are all going to ignore Clarkson from now on...and not pay him any more". Every one could just get on with their lives.
I don't understand why he feels so strongly that he hates her, but I suspect he doesn't really hate her and has only written it for effect. His whole persona is built on causing a reaction. He's clearly underestimated the reaction in this case though, which I think is way OTT. My point was more that we now live in an age where everyone seems to be waiting for the next issue to take offence to, which has absolutely no impact on themselves. Do I think he should have written it? No. But, does it offend me? I find it hard to be offended on behalf of someone I have no connection with, by someone I have no connection with, for making an ill judged joke. If I genuinely believed he wished harm on her, then that might be different, but it would be pretty stupid to take it literally. That being said, if true, no one should ever be put in a position where they feel that suicide is the answer.
Not very representative poll - where's the "Couldn't give a ****" option. Who really cares either way - Clarkson has always been a dick, and I truthfully couldn't tell you more than than two things about Markel, one of which is she's married to Harry, the other that she annoys the **** out of sone of you ****ers on here
I miss my skateboard....is the skatepark still going out at Wealdstone? Spent a lot of time there as a teenager
I'm sure Clarkson doesn't wish actual physical harm on Meghan, but he certainly seems to happy to inflict mental harm on her, and, with his appeal to the basest amongst his readers, to incite others to do so. I don't think it's OTT for people to be outraged at this, whether they have a connection with Meghan or not.
Can they both **** off and stay silent and wallow in their millions and their mansions and leave the rest of us alone? That applies to the Royal family too. JUST **** OFF you greedy ****s! You've got more money than 00000.1% of the planet. **** off and take your ****ing sob stories with you.
It's as shame, I liked her. She had the world at her feet. I can't understand the route they chosen. I thought their Royal Wedding was fantastic.
I don’t like disrespectful people and first & foremost, l think she / he, have disrespected our former Queen, whom l had much respect for. To cap it off, she he, did so for money, attention & publicity. They seek & thrive on publicity which in turn, elevates their earning potential, for which been totally focused on securing. If they had issues with the Royal family and escaped to the good ole US of A for a quiet life, l could understand but the truth is, it’s all been totally planned and enforced. She is an actress, playing her biggest part yet. Forget the Academy Awards trophy, money is her god. Everyone and anyone who have had anything to do with them, have been chewed up and spat out by them. Can it really be everyone’s else’s fault? These people thrive on speaking negatively about anyone in arms length of themselves. Enough said.
So it appears that the flak from the Clarkson article is spreading. Yes his views are obnoxious...but it appears that the main fall out is that the article was published. His editor, the section editor and the paper editors are all being torn into by the rest of the media. Oh dear what a shame ...it couldn't happen to a nicer news paper. I hope it destroys the Sun...like the News of the World before it
News of the World - massive criminal phone hacking scandal, including hacking the murdered Millie Dowler's voicemail. The Sun - prints a typically Jeremy Clarkson hyperbolic piece, based loosely on Game of Thrones, possibly hurting the feelings of a woman who is almost universally disliked in the UK and increasingly in the US
