Currently on track to be completely done by Christmas Eve so that we can chill and enjoy that day instead of the usual carnage.

 

Mrs told me last night she had 'meal planned' for when my mother arrives, which is the 27th.

So Christmas period goes along the lines of this;

Christmas Eve - at ours, everyone (Chilli night)
Christmas Day - at ours, everyone (Christmas dinner, obvs)
Boxing day - at ours, everyone (inlaws extension still not finished, cold leftovers etc.)
27th - at ours, my Mum arrives, so even more (Turkey Pie)
28th - at ours, as above (Salmon)
29th - at ours, as above ( A Lamb dinner. I mean, a lamb ****ing dinner four days after christmas dinner, wtf!?!)
30th - my Mum goes home, Swans at home in the evening and I can finally get the actual **** out of my ****ing house. (will devour a burger and some beer)

Any idea that we go out for even one evening meal (I'll ****ing pay ffs!!!!!!) has been met with a flat bat.


I actually think we'll be having people over NYE too, but that is absolutely a pick up Thai or somehting, she/we are not cooking.

This exactly, i retired from xmas day cooking since my xmas dinner winner title back in 2022.

Was gonna go out again this year (curry house last year) but my sisters doing xmas dinner so we're going up there instead

 

I believe lamb is on the menu

And shes managed to find me a jar of mint jelly.
