I could use a lot of GOT references for some weird fantasy of death or serious injury for people. I don’t think that would be ok. He said what he said because it parrots the beliefs of a particular segment of society which The Sun is intent on playing up to.
I didn't say it was ok for him to say it. I don't think it was, although the faux outrage from some is quite predictable. I genuinely wasn't sure if the G O T reference was widely known.

What he describes has echoes of a lynching and it's a disgrace that it was published. You go on about faux outrage, have you seen the responses the H&M video?
If I remember rightly, it was a lighthearted discussion in which I said that I wouldn't mind seeing her naked, along with an awful lot of other women in the public eye. You were outraged of course. For the record, I don't think Clarkson should have said what he did.

Agree, Clarkson's vitriol is demeaning to all women. However much he dislikes Meghan no woman deserves such remarks. How would he feel if another journalist had written that about his wife/girlfriend? The bloke should be investigated for inciting racially motivated hatred.
Much as I despise Clarkson with every sinew of my body……I didn’t hear the same peoples outrage when Miriam Margolyes talked of wanting Boris Johnson to die….or when Jo Brand talked of throwing battery acid at Nigel Farage. It just smacks a bit of double standards…or am I missing something ?
Clarkson, Morgan hmm seems to be a democratic there. If we’re all honest if someone had said it about Kate some of those outraged would be less pissed off, some of those who don’t see it as an issue would be losing their minds, some still wouldn’t care and some would find it weird that the likes of Clarkson make weird comments like this about a woman, and shows what a Twat he is. One thing for me, it says what Clarkson and those at that **** rag think that’s what their readership want to see, sadly.

You can if you admit your own hypocrisy. Whilst there’s things I’d prefer to happen to Johnson and Farage, jail for one. I’ll admit that it doesn’t bother me all that much what either Brand or Mariam said, yeah maybe considering they are both funny and intelligent they could have chosen a better thing to say though.
It’s really not. If we took it to an extreme it would be disgusting to wish ill on Ian Huntley which no one would agree with. It’s one of life’s great mysteries why Meghan Markle so upsets one particular segment of society by her mere existence.
Thats the thing though Wills, most can’t admit and deal with their own hypocrisy…..instead out comes the faux outrage and what some **** of a man has written in a **** of a paper for **** readers.
