I dare say talent scouts will see exactly what we see. Goalscorers are something every team needs and most are always on the lookout for them. Stewart is that plus much more. Scouts will have watched him last half of last season and early part of this. With this in mind we just have to sit tight on the £10m and every chance of getting it. Rangers adrift of Celtic yet again, new manager in who will be well aware of his performances in the early championship games. Everton in a relegation battle and light up front. I can see other clubs thinking £10m being an investment worth making right now. That is what worries me, he will have options and that fee puts nobody off, particularly if they trust their scouts. We just need to be really clear if a deal is done it is done early. Once past mid Jan we dont sell and take a hit on the fee if needed in Jan. We need goalscorers already in Jan, if we are replacing Stewart we need tims to do it.

£10m plus Simms and let's talk If Stewart is valued at £10m and they offer £5m+simms then they are valuing Simms and Stewart the same. That doesn't add up for me
If it was Everton, as much as I don't like it, I can see £7.5m + Simms being a compromise. Everton of course have the right to cut Broadhead's deal short so the other option would be whatever figure + Simms AND Broadhead.

Not sure I want Broadhead. He showed an alarming lack of ambition/belief to turn us down and go to Wigan. He hasn't exactly pulled up any trees their either.

They can mate, why not. Plenty of people heading into the last 6 months like Stewart was, or with potential. The difference now, in my opinion only, is when we brought him in we had Wyke. Stewart was injured and Wyke then started banging them in so he didnt need to hit the ground running (not saying he wouldnt). This time we will be replacing the main man, and will be fishing in a higher quality pool. It is possible of course. But a goalscorer of his quality in the second half of the season is the difference between a push for top 6, or one looking over our shoulder.
Theres a player in there, some of his movement to create space for others is very clever in my opinion. Plus he's only 21 so time is on his side to improve with coaching
