Agree the background [ Qatar and its problems for the many was a bad vibe ] for those that went was "taking in moment" and were dedicated or good time to have a holiday and some football!

As much as he’s a twat, I have to agree with him on this. That was the best World Cup final I can remember.
I struggled to remember the final of 2014. Then I remembered it was the Germany v Argentina where the Argies never had a shot on target.

I'm happy some people enjoyed the world cup series, personally I hated the pompous people that ran it, I may be in the minority but I switched off my interest with the Southgate inspired England style of play, I think Lineker and Neville are a pair of over paid, over egotistical diddycoys, I'm happy that our own football has returned to Nige, Bristol City and our usual excitement.

Much as I hated the bribery, mistreatment of migrant workers, Lineker and Neville etc etc I succumbed to watching England.
Then I enjoyed the 'lesser' nations refreshing style of football.
Morocco were a breath of fresh air.
I started watching the final with 65 minutes gone, don't get old, I thought it was a 7pm kick off.
The ref did well, apart from not booking Messi, and added to a marvellous spectacle of football.
Can't believe I wanted the French to win.

I wanted Messi to win, that I had to go with the Argies for once. I just wanted him to have that monkey removed from his back when everyone was saying but he’s never won a World Cup. And to know that massive Adam’s apple Christian Ronaldo crying last night.
