Some kind of virus allegedly. Rabbiot and Upamecano missed the semi final. Varane, Coman and Konate missed training on Friday, then there were 5 players who haven't been named who all missed training on Friday.

It wouldn't be a total surprise to hear names like Giroud, Dembele and Griezmann mentioned after the tournament. This looks like more than a poor performance to me, it looks like a team not able to cope physically.

 

Do they not all take their own docs, dieticians, cooks etc to hopefully avoid things like this?

 

Only 1 team in it up to now. However if its true half the French team have the Brad Pitts then its not good.

Argentina just been at it. Agressive, intense, 100% everywhere. Whatever France do or cant do, it has been a brilliant performance so far.

That said, France score next then game on. Argentina have been vulnerable at that tha back.

The penalty was soft but Dembele was stupid going near him like that. Any touch and he was going down. The second goal was brilliant.

No doubt this virus has affected a number of the players but Argentina have tactically outdone France so far, they seem to have a man spare in the middle of the pitch and Mbappe has had no service. Di Maria is ripping them apart on the left, could be his last ever international game and he’s up for it as you would expect.

 

Definite pen mate. Credit the ref, was in the perfect place.

It has to be that. Deschamps is a very defensive coach and all that, but still, France are absolutely woeful. I've never seen anything as bad in a final, going back to 66.
