oh, theoretically it should be possible to make a gain if we can sustain a constant fusion reaction without the need of extra energy beyond that needed to start the reaction, and we seem to be getting closer, but it's years away. There's a few different styles of reactors being built at the moment which hold some promise, but I'm not holding my breath.

in relation to that i watched this the other day and found it interesting, again not sure on how true it is but i like the theory of the pyramids being big power generators
I was wondering if we could put something on a comet to piggy-back a ride, but from what i've read it would be totally pointless. We certainly need to be finding a faster way to travel, if we are to achieve anything truly remarkable, even if it is a non human trip.
