TBF it does. Sometimes they do that half and half cast if it's a certain fracture.

Seen a couple of people say it's fractured fibula which would make sense given the angle of the challange and the protective cast he has on.

I think you've got it wrong matey. The referee got his red card out before he knew the player was injured, everyone saw he intended to wave it, then he put it back into his pocket. So I think the cheering was for the red card, not the injury. I clapped your lad off.

And this is the reality throughout our squad isn't it? Young lads forging their way in their careers, so many of them without having played 100 league games or even 50 for many of them.

    We have to be patient.

not a bad game i thought, two teams huffing around on the pitch trying not to lose.

i thought it was a red 'as it happened' with pretty much the same view the ref had but seeing it from a different angle saw their player basically change direction and collide with embo, ballard got the ball as it completely changed direction so i am pleased it was missed.

good to see LND get on and score, dan neil really needs time off or showing how to tackle, gooch once again gets pelters so i guess some will never leave the lad alone...other that this there is little to be really mentioned.

I understand where you are coming from mate but to me it’s where we are at the moment. We have just been promoted and are trying to consolidate where we are at. There’s some 46 league games plus the cup games so we need a decent size squad. Wholesale changes in the players for this season to me wasn’t the way to go. Hopefully once we are in the Premier League the club can look at all the playing staff and see who will be up for this next challenge and probably have more wiggle room because of the finances to upgrade players. Embo part of the squad now I’m ok with. Embo being part of a Premier League squad I don’t think so but hopefully we can get some cash for him to help to our cause.

Aye, you're right. I was 7 pints deep when I sent that so not worded very well at all.

I did feel disappointed about the game yesterday, but that's because I have high hopes for this team and I think with a bit of momentum they could easily make the playoffs and I'll personally be disappointed if they don't. I do think that mid-table in the championship under normal circumstances won't satisfy most Sunderland fans, nor should it, but, I agree, they should be given a pass this year and so should TM.

Agree mate you have to gradually evolve and progress into a solid championship team foremost, it’s just that,in my opinion,Embleton hasn’t got the qualities in his game for us to make that progression

Looking at that clip of the clash with the hull player it looked like Embleton cracked his foot/ankle on the hull players elbow, looked like this twisted his foot round and looked a bit like that spiral fracture Stan collymore did turning round on the spot when his studs caught in the ground. When he went to ground that foot didn’t look right.

Hope he recovers quick and comes back stronger.

Bit like Malik Wilks who won the game for Hull a fewseasons back by "accidently" catching our keepers head with a trailing boot.

Hope not. I did think it looked a bad one from his reaction. If it is a bad one we will miss him. Not like Stewart but he is an important part of our squad and makes contributions. He has played a part in all 23 league games this seasom, so we shouldnt underestimate what a blow it is. He will need replacing in Jan, just hope we arent replacing him and Pritch at the same time. Get well soon Embo lad.

Gutted for the lad but he’s no big miss, he needs to move on. Gives Ba or maybe Michut a chance to step in.

Just watched the post match analysis just to see the red card again. I can see why the ref has given it, looks bad from that angle!

Really hope you are right. Have to say though neither have looked ready yet imho to play other than 20 minutes here and there max. Ba has a real problem with players running off him from what I have seen and at this level that is a massive problem. Michut looks technically great, but rash and unaware. I have hopes for both in a year or two, but they cant be starting 3 or 4 games on the spin in this division for me yet, they will get played around. We would need a window move for me I am afraid. Clarke and Diallo needs someone in the middle to talk to them. Pritch is perfect, Embo is decent. Seen nothing yet from the two young lads to suggest they are up to the job. Just an opinion of course.

We have the players to cope and have to trust the recruitment team to replace him.

Not that that will control the hysteria when he goes
