Think Rosenior has himself down as a bit of a pep guardiola, although he tends to play his most talented players.
We’ve gone from shipping two or three goals a game and heads going down to shipping between 0 and 1 and players keeping fighting in just five games. That’s an impressive turnaround. If this is the platform we’re building from, then it’s a solid one and one that Bruce himself (who I think has had more of an impact on Rosie than probably he even realises) implemented from day 1. Build from a clean sheet. We are not suddenly going to start smashing teams, but it’s a safe bet that by May, you’ll look back on the season and see a vast improvement from September. A sensible January, a more precise strategy in Summer and we’ll start to have more influence. This is Acun’s first full season in charge, so hopefully he will learn from the Summer just passed and focus more on what we need than what he wants to see. From what Rosie has said, it sounds like he has Acun‘s ear on transfers so hopefully that bodes well.
Just seen tufan’s goal, there is only him in our team that can score that brilliant finish cannot understand why more people aren’t talking about that. Not a ****ing chance in hell I’d sell/ loansale him at all never mind January. He is the sort of player than literally make something out of ****all. I would 1000% play him from the start against Blackpool, frighten the life out of their defence lol
the reduction of goals being shipped coincides with Greaves being moved from centre back onto the left
Is it just me but we also seem to be loosing the ball so much and improving on playing the ball from the back, slow yes but more confidently
He won’t be going anywhere unless we get an amazing offer for him. He was out of the squad at Fenerbahce, barely got a look in at Watford so this is the first club he’s been at where he’s well looked after. He wants to stay, we want him to stay, he’s on a fair whack but other players going will hopefully mitigate that cost.
That’s because he isn’t. The way we play is **** in terms of suiting what he does and we need to change to get the best out of him. He won’t end the season on 8 goals or whatever he has. He’s a very good footballer and like all strikers, when he isn’t scoring it’s more obvious and easy to criticise.
We are also just much more organised, we’d not have conceded yesterday with 2 centre backs in the middle over Christie who i can’t believe played there
I only saw the first half; however I think that half was the worst I have seen us play under Rosenoir. In past games since LIam came I have at times been blown away by the quality of some of the football that we have played, saying to myself he has got them playing like Man City. During the first half yesteday we could hardly string a few passes togehter. And as far as threat was concerned only Longman seemed to show any promise. Oscar and Smith were completely ineffective and Slater anonymouse. We missed Christie playing as right wing back or higher. His interplay on that side with others has been in the past a pleasure to watch and has provided a significant threat that was missing yesterday, at least in the first half.
Should they have even had a chance of a goal after Tufan was tackled from behind? He may have gone down like a sack of spuds but it still looked like a foul from North Stand.
It wasn't aimed directly at you. Others have been more harsh. That's a fair enough opinion but he's easily good enough for where we are.
Peterborough? They were awful when he went there. We will never know what he could have done with some money to spend but for me he certainly shouldn't have been sacked for Shota.
