You know, the more I watch the less I think it is - and I didn’t think it was in the first place. Watch the 2 lads closest to the incident. They just kept going. Linesman, closer than the ref, nothing. Only pdople sho seem to”know” it’s a red are the ref and most Hull fans.

If a player goes in like that and it’s a bad foul, you normally see a massive reaction from team mates.

the Hull player tried to play on, thinking nothing of it! Tells you an awful lot.

I saw Honeyman do 4 or 5 worse than that to Amad without a yellow recently!

I can accept us inviting red cards in the penalty area, or if a player in in on goal ...

... but risking a red or an injury, in a neutral situation, is idiotic.

I've no confidence that Embleton or Neil are improving and think we need better.

Good Point that. Hadn’t thought about that. The other angle shows it much better fir what it actually was. As I say, the players didn’t even think foul as they just kept playing. Looks awful in that still, but Honeyman on Amad (4 or 5 times) we’re all as bad or worse a few weeks ago. And it was ages before he even got booked.

Feel so sorry for Embo. We know he isnt that type of player. But the ref, seeing that, probably cant do much else. Just hope he isnt injured, important squad player for me

Still think it's a harsh red, hoping it's good news about the injury as well.

I do think Embo would benefit from a run in the team in a defined position to allow him to learn and adapt from his mistakes, I don't believe he is as bad as some make out

We know Pritchard cant do 90. Embo is a good option to rotate in there. Pritchard is on a different level we know so hard for Embo to get a run, but I think you are right. Players improve with games, and he is ond still adapting to this higher standard. If like people say Pritchard is away then Embo being injured would leave us really short for a 10 in my opinion. January might end up being a busy window after all, which isnt really what we need.

I'm not convinced we need a '10' if I'm honest. Personally I'd rather have the extra body in centre midfield and concentrate more on our wide players

He just doesn’t fancy a 50/50 challenge which will always bring risk’s in tight moments, if I remember correctly he was lucky in the first game of the season against Coventry

I watched Neil specifically last week and again yesterday.

I don't think he understands what he's there for to be honest.

He runs around, in front of the back line, but stands off the player with the ball and rarely challenges. When the ball is passed he runs towards that player but without any intent.

When he came into the team he was rolling players in midfield, taking the ball upfield and getting shots away. Or receiving the ball and putting in through balls or long diagonals.

I honesty can't remember anything he did yesterday ...

... I might be missing his input tbf and hope I am.

He needs to do more if the good stuff.

We have scored a couple of great goals this season, Neil played a big part in both 9f them. Howrver he needs to demonstrate this great passing more often.
Last season he looked a little weak at times, his physicality has improved.

But he needs to impose himself on games and take charge...I think he has the ability, but must show it.

Perhaps the problem is the make-up of our midfield? Play 2 strikers, no number 10?

It's a difficult one to be sure.

Without Pritchard he looks lost, with him he's overshadowed.

Mowbray has some work to do in that midfield ...

... our over reliance on Evans is also worrying.

Just don't think he can play in a conventional 2 man midfield.

lets hope Speakmans list is up to date for January. If Pritchard is away then we need a similar type of player (who can last 90 mins) and I have my doubts abot Embo,Neil, and Evans ever being good championship players. However my ambition for this season is just to stay in this division, so I'm happy with 12th spot . OAU
