It def wasnt a sending off, wasnt studs up and wasnt too high - possibly a booking at worse.

TM does need to freshen the team up tho, i would like to see Hume, Ba, stewart and roberts start the next game

That would be out of order, but fully expected. I think he seems a decent fit for where we are, I'd give him to the end of the season minimum, but let's not kid ourselves. Sunderland is one of the most football heavy regions in the world. Any manager leading sunderland in the champo is 3-5 iffy results away from the sack pressure. And that's being generous. It's not a bad thing, I wouldn't be comfortable with anything less. Standards are important. I hope Mowbray turns it around, as I said, he seems a decent fit in many respects.

Its embarrassing how quickly somd supporters want managers sacked, we got into a mess with short term appointments and sacking managers every 2 minutes.

We have had a decent start to the season and i reckon with a couple of additions in jan we can kick on for a top half finish

Not the first time Embo has been sent off for bottling a 50/50 challenge and for a few referees decisions could have been more, never wins a 50/50, he knew what he was doing today, you can see on replays he had is eye on his opponent and took the safe way out and protected himself with a high foot, weak as water, not good enough

Elliot Embleton was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Jack Tucker.

Mid table coming up from league 1 only 3 points from playoffs with half season to go. What's to turn around.

But that's modern football for you matey. Raise your foot and show your studs are you are off, it's not like the old days. The ref had his red card out before both players hit the deck. Oscar for us was sent off at Millwall because when he raised his foot ( trying to control a long punt from the keeper) he connected with the defender behind him who had his head down. Total accident but a three game ban. Hope your fella is alright because he looked in a bad way when he went off, must have fell badly? To end this, your lads are more likely to be around the Play Off's then us on todays performance.

Think you might be right about Embleton, he's got the ability but there's something lacking in the application. Neil for me has more talent, is improving rapidly and is doing an effective job.

Pity a large number of your fans disagree with that. Jeering him as he’s carried off on oxygen. Your lad made a massive meal of it and also had zero intention of winning the ball, only jumping at the player. Embleton eyes on the ball all the way and made minimal contact with your lad who, after a moments thought, used the situation to Hull’s advantage. Had he actually tried to win the ball we might not have had a lad carried off.
The fans that jeered for embleton are absolute scum of the earth. And it was the majority of your crowd. Only once have I ever seen Sunderland fans do that, and it was for Alan Shearer, a massive local rival. Not saying it was right, but we applaud opposition players who get carried off, not celebrate their injuries

For what? Trying to play the ball? Hull player jumped into Embleton whos eyes were on the ball. How is he to know where the hull player is going to jump? Watch the replay I shared on here, hull player looks straight at Embleton despite the ball being nowhere in that vicinity, jumps towards him and probably has injure him in the process. Not claiming a foul for Sunderland, but never a red for Embleton. Seen ten times worse against us and by us which haven’t even warranted a card.

I honestly don't know if it was a red or not, I don't think Embleton meant any harm and the Hull player acted the crap out of it but you can't just leap at people like that. I can see why the ref gave it.
