No, you offered me a bet he'd score more than 15. He could, but I'm not sticking my neck out that's all.
He has no option but to free up funds to make changes, if FFP didn’t exist I suspect he’d be throwing more cash at it, but he can’t. We’ll make some additions and injured players will return, I’ve no concerns about going down.
I don't have to be. Its just what I think. He's got a good chance of finishing our top scorer though.
Another brave prediction, based on the fact tufan does t start these days and there’s a good chance he’s going in jan.
If he keeps popping up with goals from the bench then can we afford to let him go? Guess it will depend on the offers.
I think we can only afford to let him go if we buy someone who can score goals. There isn’t enough goals in the team (inc oscar) Allahyar might come back and get some, so might tetteh. They are ifs and buts though
If Wigan beat The Piggies on Monday we're in the relegation zone. Hopefully we can ship out some of the poor signings and bring in an inspirational game changer or two but our best hope is probably the injury returnees and the current crop becoming better with practice at what the manager is asking of them.
'Agree it's all ifs and buts. Which is why I'm not sticking a number on Oscar. Wonder if losing Pelkas for 3.months changes the stance on Tufan potentially leaving? I think he's close to Honeymans tally for last year already. Honestly you need goals from all areas of the pitch and if you take Tufan out then where do goals from midfield come from? You can't bring just one or two in and expect a whole amount of change if you're letting your 2 top scorers leave to fund the incomings. If we did that then we'd be an injury or two away from being even weaker than now.
We can argue about Oscar and if he’s played in the right role, I’d argue the same about tufan. We are 21st in the league and a Turkish international can’t get in the team. A month or so back people questioned seri. We need some signings but we need to play our best players in roles that get the best out of them, I also think allayhar should be upfront
I keep trying to convince myself that we are going to push upwards and away from the bottom 3 but the fact is we're not.A couple more bad results from us over the next couple of weeks and a result or two from those below us could easily see us sucked into the bottom 3. That's not where we're supposed to be at this point of the season, aspirations were much higher from those who run the Club and surely even they realise that changes need to happen and soon. Rosenior can only play with the hand he has been dealt but it's a poor one in my opinion and I believe he can recruit far better if he's given the funds to do so.If that means getting rid of these alleged high earners, with no real heart for the Club, then so be it...We need a re-build in January and that means bringing in players who are experienced enough at this level to dig out performances and results,we don't have these qualities at present.
Which poor signings? Scott, Williams are listed, discussions to be had on the Chelsea trio in January. Ali, Tetteh have barely played enough to make a judgement, Traore and M'hand haven't played at all. Oscar and Ozan are our 2 top scorers, so I'm assuming you mean figueredo, or the poor signings made prior to the summer?
Look at the context of only losing 1 in the last 5 since Rosie been in. That's a whole lot better than the previous 15.
Suspect Ali will be wide in a 3 by and large. Rosie has said he wants pace in wide areas and when we've got that it gives the option of the ball in behind which we don't have at the moment. Also. Think you'll see Oscar getting on the end of more once we have wide players who can get to the byline. As for Ali through the middle? Well he's only scored 1 so far.
But have we looked like a more dangerous team, Watford was a good point and I’d have taken a point before the game but it was more luck and poor finishing that we got the point
I'd say that not conceding 2/3 a game like we were means we're more likely to get results and climb the table. And I'd also say that some games like Cardiff and Rotherham and even reading we have created more, just like we created more than Sunderland today - and they were flirting with the playoffs until this week.
Hmm but we haven’t, we can drop in to the bottom 3 on Monday. I’m all for been hard to beat away from home, if we can be more expansive at home and collect 3 points. We aren’t, it’s ok to stop conceding but we need to be equally as good at the other end
You can also say we could be mid table if we beat Blackpool. The league is unusually tight. Wouldn't take much of a run to make the 8 points up and get in the playoffs either. Just depends whether you're predisposed to looking up or down I suppose.
Again as Orange said you don’t score the goals he did by accident, nor do you score the goals he scored at a superior level he did by accident. He’s shot for confidence, going through a rough patch. You should never be giving an important penalty to someone aiming to get their confidence back
