Yeah you can complain. When Sammy Lee was in charge of Bolton, he used to get loads of **** for playing "boring football". Pretty sure they got into Europe under him and finished 7th. Bet they'd trade anything for some of that **** football experience now.
And hundreds of millions of pounds, which we can use to invest in our club. And better players, which will make it more entertaining.
Could, not will, as many teams struggling financially and entertainment wise in the Prem will testify to. Add in all the rest of the baggage that comes with the Prem, and you're offering a very weak argument.
we get a penalty we get a lucky red card for them we play boring as **** and then concede turgid turgid viewing
this has been one of the most uninspiring, boring, ****, slow, pathetic home peformances i've ever seen from us
Yes, apologies, playing in the most widely watched league in the world against some of the world's best players COULD improve the entertainment factor. I'm sure the likes of Everton, Southampton and Forest would trade places with us in an instant. The "baggage" depends entirely on the club and how it is managed. We've endured crap ownership and good ownership (economically speaking) in the Premier League, many clubs that have graced the Premier League have not had that issue. I'm not trying to sell the Premier League to you, the benefits of being in it do that for me, as millions of fans around the country I'm sure will attest to.
Only decent player in the side understandably will be gone in a week or two, 6 months after his arrival. Says it all.
I'm not defending the performance in this match, I'm just pointing out that many were complaining about us conceding so many goals, so to see people now complaining when we're tightening up to stop that happening seems a bit daft when in order to do that, you have to swing the pendulum the other way for a bit until you can build confidence.
