I hope/ believe this was and is a joke. This is my annoyance with the whole thing .. No one has any sense of humour about anything any more. But I suppose that I am not the point of this joke not being a man. So should not really find it funny
Please you lot please just go and watch the J &B whisky advert. Can't link it here, but perhaps someone else can
As you already know Kiwi.. I'm a gin and yorkie bar girl myself. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good advert.
Honestly Beth….it’s bollox and has nothing that I saw to do with Whiskey so really don’t get it…..can you enlighten me as I must be missing something
It has nothing to do with the whiskey other than the brand wishes to be associated with such sentiment in order to convey its credentials for tolerance and inclusiveness. Nothing wrong with that in the grand scheme of things, but I just wish the purveyors of such products would lay off the politicking and tell me why their whiskey is better than competing brands. Does it taste better? Does it get you pissed faster? Is it cheaper? Perhaps there’s a certain category of consumer that prioritises brands that put this sort of thing above taste, pissedness and price?
Seriously though, it's clowns like these that are doing transgenders a disservice. Imagine if a naturally born woman wore that and behaved in that manner. I'm certain people would call her some unpleasant names (I'm sure you can work out which ones). Or if a naturally born man walked around in a thong and also behaved in that manner. He'd probably be called something also unsavoury. I feel that there should be some semblance of humility in public. Children, as well as any other members of the public, should not be subject to sexually explicit behaviour. Unfortunately, we seem to be heading to a decadence that will probably bring about irreversible amorality, to a civil society's detriment. I'll more than likely be blasted for this opinion, but I don't think this is what woke was meant to achieve. (I wonder if Pizza Hut condones this "****er" wearing their badge while behaving like an ignoramus). At the time of posting this prior to this amendment, I thought the fools in this crass video were actually T-Gs. Apologies to the T-G community. I'm sure the majority are law-abiding, decent humans. However, I do still stand behind my comments on humility in public.
From my perspective of relative ignorance but some objectivity, there are genuine transgender people for whom full sympathy should be shown and help (so long as if doesn't infringe on women's safety and rights), and then there are the perverts. I agree with you that subsuming the latter into the cause of the former is highly damaging to genuine transgender people.
