A teacher has threatened my 15 year old son with violence today. Not a lot has changed from back in my day.

I get that kids nowadays and all that but how many of us were little twats? I was and the cane didn't work, threw a chair at one teacher and stuck the head in another having the cane for it was no deterrent.

And would you have cried to your parents if either of them had threatened you with violence back?

If i ever went home and said a teacher had hit me (or even shouted at me) my parents would have had a right go at me for asking for it.

It's old school thinking mate. End of the day we are supposed to be progressing as people and doing things the right way not threatening children with violence. It wasn't better back in the day violence was met with violence. Was in my case anyway.
