Nobodies saying he hasn’t made mistakes, everyone does but he is learning from them. Against France? No. We dominated that game after their 1st goal went in, created plenty of chances right until the end, just one of those days where it wouldn’t go in. We didn’t lose that game because of Southgate.

I haven’t spun those stats, that’s just a fact that Southgate has achieved more across 3 tournaments in 4 years than every single manager combined in the 48 years before him. Also as posted previously I think this is a far cry in terms of strength on paper than the squads of the early 90’s and noughties > middle of last decade. Don’t think there’s a single player in the current squad you could make a case for being the best in the world in his position where as previously we have had several.

We've gone out against the likely winners after out playing them. Last 2 tournaments before were a semi and a final. Football is a low scoring game where not always the best team wins. Southgate has got more right with selection and tactics than wrong, as evidenced by his record at major tournaments.
