They paid £7m in Corporation tax last year and significantly increased their UK staff, generating an additional £16m in income tax.

    Don't do Netflix.

    Disappointed in Harry.
From being a young idiot, it looked as if he had finally matured into a useful person.
    Sadly he hasn't.

He's made me feel quite chipper tbh.

I'm a daft lad from a Durham pit village, four kids in a two bed hovel, who had no education and never learned a trade. My Dad was an alcoholic hewer & wife beater who'd spent his wages by Monday morning. He'd take his pit belt to us all when his frustration got the better of him.

Harry was born into fabulous wealth, private education and the opportunity to see the world from an early age. He's never had to buy a house, apply for a job or struggle to feed his kids.

But I'd bet me, Mrs Smug and my family are closer, happier and safer than Harry Boy and his unsettling wife.

The lesson here is to be very careful around people who use the phrase 'my truth'.

This has become a Circus with one side spouting whatever they wish to without being questioned.

Henry the eight would have had their heads off by now.

Just imagine a modern day version.

Martyn Tyler " the future King will remove the heads of his brother and his wife for spouting ****e and it's live on Sky"
The wife shouting " l'm a celebrity get me out of here.

    How times have changed

They are doing a fantastic job of keeping out of the media since they went to the US mind, I've never heard a thing about them since.
It would have been an easy option to do US talk shows, exclusive interviews, even a mini documentary series....all for LOTS of money.
Good job the lad has principles.

    https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ellievhall/meghan-markle-kate-middleton-double-standards-royal

Those articles don't even include the early ones where the Daily Mail quoted Meghan as having "exotic DNA" and said she was "too racy" to be marriage material.

The media in this country have had it in for her since day one and much of it is overtly racist.

I'm sure Harry and Meghan are both arseholes at times, but the pro-royal public and media have somehow tried to position themselves as the victim's which is laughable.

I share some of those upbringing elements. I still like to think I am grounded, humble, straight up and down kind of bloke. I am not well off, but a long way from the bread line. Everything me and mine have is a product of hard work and done on my own. No guiding hands whatsoever in the world I now work in, just my own common sense, intelligence and experience. And a large slice of take me how I am or we can say our goodbyes.

The flip side though is I wouldnt thank you for any of the privileges the royal family seem to have. None at all. I can imagine being a royal being a miserable and 24/7 style of existence. As I keep saying no idea what Harry is like, but I reckon I would have been bailing out of that life long before he did, famous wife or not. It has to be invidious. Fair play to those that seem to make a fist of it, but I reckon I would go barmy in that world.

That is the article I read mate. Cheers. My wife showed me it at some point I think.

Like you say there are others, and arguably worse things printed by UK media, about her and Harry. I am not surprised personally, I think they are a rotten institution that hide behind lawyers and are happy to pay up if someone challenges them. It is often said headline writers dont even read the article, just find the most salacious headline. It is sad, and only getting worse in the internet age where you get more so called journalists able to punt articles throughout the day. There was a time journalists were worth paying attention to, they were objective and thoughtful. Now they are plain ignorant and often times write / talk with no credibility. I find it dusgusting personally, but I am an old fart probably.

That was a criticism of the Royal Family and complimentary to her.

As was the 'racy' article in the Mail ....

Discovered yesterday that you can block certain shows from displaying on Netflix profiles, so I don’t see it at all. Honestly the whole carry on is getting on my tits.

My wife is laughing at me right now for talking royal family on here. She is a bit of a royal family lover, whereas I am what she calls 'ignorant of the relevance and importance'. I just call it focussing on big stuff, like who we play next, but there you go.

I told my wife we were discussing Meghan and whether she has been hard done to by the media. She said simply why did they call it 'Megxit' and not 'Harryxit'. Interesting point I though. I said I dont care but would ask the football fans <laugh>

1st of all you actually talk to and discuss stuff with your wife!

    Mine just growls at me...

2nd is she anti meghan? Most royalists seem to be. I just think the 'firm' missed a trick by not getting getting her onside and using her profile and abilities. Harry was/is obviously more relatable to than his brother and imho INVICTUS is brilliant. How many Ukrainian injured soldiers will be there next time.

3rd What could be said now is the fury of a woman scorned. Which is not dignified and is not cool just imho.

Bit deep for me mate. She says it is a signal everything was spun towards Meghan being the initiator not Harry. She says that isnt racist, bit other stuff was. I better stop talking to her or she will want to sign up and this site is my escape! Honestly, I dont know, and dont care as much as my wife.

My good lady growls at me too. Mostly when I mention pub and mates.

She is a rather well to do person my wife. Married well above my station, and punching well above my weight. She would tell me off if I called her a royalist. She prefers to talk about a balanced view of everything. She says Meghan was poorly treated by this country, and by media in particular. Never had a chance is her words. She says it is odd that women find it hard to marry in more than blokes. She tells me meghan has pushed back much harder than others and that Harry is like me, a you can all go and bollocks type of guy. She says the royal family arent allowed to be a real family as I would understand it. I have told her I am bored and going to my bar (shed) for some beer <laugh>

I dont know. Loads of views. I still feel a bit sorry for the lass, maybe not as much as my wife, just dont anybody tell her...

My memory of it is that she was welcomed with open arms and had every chance but gradually poisoned opinion against her by things she did and said. She's still at it.

There wasn't only Brexit to choose for an easy tag, if Harry was the driving force there's an endless choice.

'Harry voir' as he went to French speaking Canada as a quick 'top of my head' example.

But, let's be honest and blunt here, without the once already divorced Ms Markle there's absolutely no way Harry would've ever left the UK.

Despite his laughingly so called 'desperate' need to avoid the UK media, his dad/brother/family or blatant racism he wouldn't have left his priveledged life unless he'd met an actress on line. Can anyone really claim Markle wasn't the one and only reason for all of Harry's actions?
