    Serious answer

If you are over 18 then you have no rights. Would be down to your mother as b/f has no rights either assuming your mother is sole tenant or owner.

Speak with your mother and see what she thinks.

Good luck, lousy position to be in.

Just buy time and tell your mum that you'll move out next summer. Of course you should do a make a sad teary face and tell her that she can't kick her own son during winter. Also I think that maybe you should try and avoid any fights with your mams bf and maybe things will get better ...

As has already been said, this guy has no rights whatsoever. If your mum wants you in then you are in. Tell him to shove his ideas up his arse and if he does not like it, he should move out!

How about just stay out of each others way, but in the same house.

All sounds a bit ridiculous to me but i'd say get your own place. If you work and pay rent already you may as well pay for a flat of your own. My parents were amazing but I found my own place early and it was the best decision i've ever made. It makes you more independent, nothing worse than sponging off your parents in your twenties.

Does your mother own the house? If she does then it is up to her whether or not you stay.
If the house is rented, and your Mum and boyfriend are named Tenants then you would not have a right to stay.
You say he causes all the problems and that you don't want to leave your Mum there, but it would be down to your Mum, and only her, to kick him out.
Most Colleges have social departments, pop in and get some proper legal advice or else go to Citizens Advice Bureau.
If you attack him, no matter how bad the provocation, he wins.
Defending yourself, however, is a different matter.
Maybe this would be a good time to move on, enjoy your life as you're only young once.
    Stay safe.
