Say's a lot about the French team when Griezman was their best defender.

Shame Morocco didn't have a striker.

Hate to break it to the commentator (Jonathon Pearce?) but France are not the first to make back to back WC finals. I seem to remember both Argentine and (West) Germany doing it.

For me it's never been in doubt ... Ronaldo is/was a phenomenal athlete whose attributes were transferable to the beautiful game ... Messi just personifies the beautiful game ... which is why he is the final point of Argentinian world cup hopes, whilst Ronaldo is now not much more than an 'inspirational' sub for Portugal...

... and yet they dominated much of the game against France ... where we, with our 'superstars', didn't... fair does...

...mate ... if they'd had a proper striker then France would have been in all sorts of bother ... which is why I think the Argies will win it ... because they do <cheers>

Will the bookies pay out on that or do they just count goals scored?

Lol is that really what he said? Loads of teams have done it, Brazil did 3 in a row not that long ago ffs (94-02), never mind them actually retaining it back in the day.

Even got the Dutch who managed to lose back to back finals.
