So true, it's also a generational thing. Go back through the years and many players are and will be described as "The best of all time" but nobody will ever convince me of a single player earning that title. Best of their time yes but football changes all the time so it's not fair or even possible to compare. EDIT.....earning was probably the wrong word, proving might have been better.

True but when you watch Maradona he was on another level, which I think you probably concur with. It’s the youngsters these days who never saw his greatness that can’t accept he was actually an unbelievable, out of this world player.
I genuinely don't think Messi would be capable of the goals Maradona scored against England and Belgium in the '86 world cup. And that's during an era when players were allowed to kick lumps out of Maradona, and did. They aren't allowed to sneeze on Messi. Seen both; in my opinion Maradona is the better of the two and, probably, the best ever.
