We’ve got a good team that plays well and performs well. But yeah **** it would much prefer to get steamrollered by Iceland and struggle to score more than 10 goals in 20 years. 206 teams enter the World Cup and only one of them can win it every 4 years, so that should be 205 useless **** managers getting sacked every time.
Hey ho, the postal strike has delayed my Christmas present to you and it's now estimated to be delivered to mine by December 28th. I'll save it for the next time you're eligible for a visa.
No midwives strike when I was born three weeks late. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Might have well won the world tiddlywinks championship with ****ing Gibraltar. It would carry as much weight and relevance to managing the men’s national team as her current position does.
Without trawling back not sure this has already been mentioned, but I see the ref for this game has been kept on and Michael Oliver sent home. Make you wonder!
I thought similar, and then I thought, there’s loads of successful managers who have never played pro football, Mourhino, Roy Hodgson, Houlier, and let’s face it, managers now surround themselves with all manner of coaches for different positions, the only thing they really need to do, is motivate, pick the team and make in game decisions, why couldn’t a woman who has won something do that?
Roy Hodgson motivate? I can still remember screaming at the TV when Iceland where dumping us out of the Euros. He was sat on the bench wringing his hands together doing nothing as the Icelandics made us look mugs. Think my lad is still traumatised by it.
Not just on about England Woy been a very successful manager all over the World, the England job has seen off a few good managers, and I’m not including Southgate as he’s a relegated Middlesbrough manager and that was his only CV for the job
Yeah Woy had the pedigree. Think he was just past his best come the Liverpool and England jobs. Just brought that memory up.
Hodgson has had such a strange career, it’s littered with both successes and failures. He was excellent at West Brom, Palace and Fulham but poor at Blackburn. Started really well with England but tailed off. Liverpool was always a strange fit and it felt like they couldn’t wait to get rid of him. Abroad he’s had mixed success too. Wonder what it is with him that determines it all.
