The Premier League is why we have such talented players.
Southgate's a very lucky man and ticks the right boxes for those who employ him.
What you mean he gets us through to the semi finals, final and quarter finals in the last three major tournaments?

If he was a jockey and fell off the horse or the last fence from home, or 2 or 3 fences from home he has lost the race, if he was consistent and did it year after year in the derby, gold cup or grand national he would be sacked for being a loser, nice guy, good communicator, brilliant at developing team spirit but has failed, never won a major tournament, maybe should be given a job behind a FA desk in an advisory role, he has been there since 2016, time for a change in style and thinking.

Sorry Wiz cant agree, jockey and football manager to different aspects altogether to make a comparison. The jockey is not the loser every horse, or nearly every horse that falls has a jockey on it and irrespective of how what or when it falls it is rarely his fault. there is a limited number of rides per day... and the better [ winners in frame ] are far more likely to have a jockey who is in top echelon. WHY pay a riding fee to a jockey of £400 to ride your horse when it has no chance? In a field of 16 runners 6 will be no hopers 6 will be in with a chance 4 will be getting fit and might spring a surprise ... Football it is just 2 teams .. occassionally ..... plus the ref!

We are talking about winners, losers and opinions, England won nothing, he was a loser and failed, that's my opinion, which you may not agree, no need to be sorry.

Respect your opinion, but but dont agree with him moving on or being sacked/ replaced. We have a squad he has put together, and in domestic football the same rules apply manager needs to be able to progress & maintain to further the common aim winning the top prize.
what happens happens and what follows is not what is likely to change / add to before [ as I post often to comments of they could have ... if only! ] Had he scored we may have lost 4-2 or won 5 -2
We were beaten QTR finalists ,,, superb effort, and with maybe abit more luck could have been beaten semi finalists or even beaten finalists!
A PROJECT in the making ...

It’s your opinion but at the beginning of the statement you presented them as facts, which they aren’t they are your opinion. That’s my opinion anyway, which you don’t have to agree with :emoticon-0105-wink:

How could I not agree with you and your opinion but I'll take the option offered, I don't and that's a fact. :emoticon-0142-happy

This was as good a chance as ever to have won the World Cup.
Had we beaten France I really believe we would have won it.
Yes we gave them a game but for me taken Sako off the most influential and dangerous player on the pitch was crazy.
Subs came on far too late.
Kane should never have taken the second penalty.
That was the job of the manager and he takes responsibility for that.
I am a firm believer when players cross the white line they are responsible for their actions.
Southgate has to be held responsible for the decisions that affected the game.

Explain the logic of Kane taking the first penalty, but not the second, if he was influenced by the spurs keeper for the second surely he would have been for the first as well. had someone else taken the second and missed the question would be asked, why didn’t Kane take the second as well. Having scored, I’m not sure the exact figures without checking, but in the region of 21 taken 5 missed. He’s our best ever penalty taker. In the heat of a quarter final in the World Cup, needing to score to draw level near the end of the game, it’s a no brainier & had to be Kane. Out of curiosity Who would you have chosen to take it if not Kane?

Why Argentina is going to win the WC and they wouldn’t have played them till the final

Argentina are the best team imo, I couldn’t see us getting anywhere near them, even if we’d managed to beat France, and won the semis tbf.

35, holds a player off good 6-8 inches taller. Turns him inside and out to get that assist.
Like to see him go off with the winners medal.

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and we're lucky enough to be alive to watch Lionel Messi play football.
