Alternatively the only teams we have lost to in championships are France, Belgium and Croatia. His record overall is excellent I think. When he took over we had been poor in championships for years. Failed to get out of the group and a last 16 previously. We have never troubled the Euros barring 96. Southgate has made us a tournament team. I can think of nobody I would rather have personally. Above said I think he might resign. He himself says he hasnt enjoyed the last 18 months, due to the stuff away from the game. I think he had some daft criticism after the euro final and again in the summer just gone. I think he is very under appreciated and I wouldnt be surprised to see him take a break then take an overseas job, club or country. Not to mention he can earn much more money elsewhere.
