As I mentioned when this was first reported:. If we get Enzo we probably aren't getting Jude. Be wonderful if we did get two of the most sought after young midfielders but we're not going to be spending €100mill twice in one window, or even back to back windows. If we get Enzo, we're not getting Jude. Enzo would be another Benfica buy, and would have experience with Darwin of course. Honestly, not sure which of the two is the better footballer. Jude is certainly the more British of the two. Enzo, being Argentinian will probably move over here, buy a house and then claim he owns the house next to it too. Both right up there in the hype market as future stars though. Enzo probably the more hyped of the two outside Britain and Jude more hyped inside Britain. Haven't watched much of either of them playing club football though,.
He only moved to benfica this year so hasn’t played with Nunez. 13 games for them and now being banded about for 100m. Hard pass
I read that he was available in the summer - obviously because Benfica bought him - for around £10m, which confirms our extremely bad forward planning.
I've no idea on the fernandez stuff. You'd suspect and agent but the player won't be pressing for a move where he is at right at the minute so who knows what's the source at this point. Benfica are not known for being tight lipped on their side of deals as a selling club so it's entirely possible they've talked
Fernandez sounds a unlikely to me just due to the short time he has been at Benfica and has more to do with his WC performances and the hacks just putting obvious connections together .
The sources for the Enzo deal are mostly from Argentina. River Plate are due 25% of any sell on fee so lots of wishful thinking from them although I've also read it's from the same sources that broke the Nunez deal news.
Just doesn’t seem likely. Lots of talk of pre-agreement. What does that even mean? Given he’s played 13 games for benfica I can’t imagine his price has managed to increase 10 fold in those 13 games.
