Good Morning. It's Tuesday 13th December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds linked to Croatian shot-stopper Leeds United have been strongly linked with Croatian shot stopper Dominik Livakovic. The 27yo has risen to prominence, following his breathtaking performances in Qatar; helping his Country reach the last four of the World Cup. Croatia have not had an easy passage to the Semi's. Their goalless draw with Belgium during the group stages, effectively ended both, Belgium's World Cup dream and Roberto Martínez's six-year tenure as head coach. They then went on to eliminate both Japan, and World Cup favourites Brazil after penalty shoot-outs, with Livakovic playing an instrumental part in all games. Livakovic has clocked up 122 clean sheets from 262 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb in the past seven years, but after his heroics, a lucrative move to the Premier League is looking plausible. With 18 months left on his contract, a fee in the region of £9m is likely to be enough to prise him away from the Croatian Champions. Why would Livakovich want to play second fiddle to Meslier; unless of course the Frenchman is on his way out of Elland Road next month? please log in to view this image Speculation indicates Harrison close to accepting new deal Several news articles in the past few days have indicated that Leeds are close to reaching an agreement with Jack Harrison's representatives to extend his contract. The 26yo has been in poor form recently, but it is hoped that once his future is sorted out, the distraction of transfer speculation will die down, and he can once again start to concentrate on his football. With Summerville and Sinisterra sidelined, Harrison is currently Leeds only fit winger, as they look ahead at their festive programme which includes the visit of Manchester City, followed by a trip to St James Park on New Year's Eve. Both Newcastle and Spurs have been strongly linked with the Leeds No 11, and with only 18 months remaining on his contract, Leeds will be desperate for him to renew his terms, and re-find his form. If Harrison does not sign, should Leeds accept £30m in January, should an offer come through? please log in to view this image Really difficult decision to drop Cressy - Rowett Millwall Manager Gary Rowett has confessed it was a 'really difficult decision' to drop Charlie Cresswell from last Saturday's starting line-up to face Wigan Athletic. The 20yo has excelled at the Den since joining on loan in August, and with almost 1300 minutes of game time already under his belt, Leeds fans shouldn't be too disappointed he doesn't play every match. We need to remember this is Cressy's first full season, and he has taken more than his fair share of knocks and bumps this term, so resting him for the odd game shouldn't be a concern. “It was a really difficult decision because young Cressy has done really, really well in the games that he has played. Coming back into a different system, it has really suited him. He has done really well. “It was a difficult decision, that one." "Ninety-nine per cent of the other players haven’t got the captain waiting to come back into the team who is such a big player for us over a long period of time. There is always that temptation to get Hutchy back in, which is no reflection at all on Cressy as a player. “Cressy is a really good player and he’s going to be an absolutely fabulous centre-half. Hopefully he keeps learning and getting better and better. “ please log in to view this image
Good Morning from avery cold but snow free Bardsey I think trhat its is a certainty that Meslier will leave in the next window so lets hope we get areally good price for him 60m at least this should leave us after the replacement has beeen bought with 50m.Harrison should go once we have got our 2 wingers back
Morning all I don’t mind selling Meslier if we get a decent replacement, would we still think he was excellent if he was 30 years old? Our view of him is a little clouded due to his age and what he might become. Fee for Meslier, it has to be in excess of £40m surely? Harrison I’d sell him, no way would I give him a new contract
Wow, is this what fans have been reduced to, accepting sales of the only bits of quality we have. It was Adams yesterday
Transfer speculation about a guy playing a World Cup semi final tonight ??? FFS everbody give your heads a shake as it's just all bollocks. Morning by the way
I’d not sell Adams myself, I’ve always felt Meslier is overrated by a few. He’s decent but his positioning is often out, his distribution is terrible, we’ve certainly had worse in goal but I’d not put him in the top 12 PL goalkeepers It depends on funds, if we’ve enough in the pot to go and get a new attacker, a new CB, a new LB and replacement for any exits like Klich fine, keep everyone. It depends also what the board are expecting this season, are we trying to cement mid table and slowly improve or is it just another survival game. World Cup years are always dangerous for teams that have players who’ve never been centre stage before and they shine
Some stories starting to leak from the England camp and it must be said that Southgate is refuting some of them.in Liverpool the Echo is publishing stories of Alexander Arnold and 3 more players blasting Southgate for not using them, being tactically redundant and AA plus 2 others flew out to Dubia instead of coming home with the squad, they checked out of the hotel and walked. Also saying AA will never play for England whilst Southgate is in charge. Ben White had a bust up with Southgates No2 and Ben was pulled away as he was going to knock the guy out. He stormed out and flew home? The Ben White story has been around for a while in North London?
My Leeds membership box from the club has arrived. It contains a deep blue scarf and a pair of socks that sing marching on together. The reason i am asking if it's correct is the box was not closed properly.
You’re welcome. Yes that’s correct. I sent same rubbish to all members. Myself and vic packaged them ourselves. Make sure to keep the box as a momento
