Rosey has to go. Never has a less qualified manager stumbled into such a job. Never has and never will win anything. Starts with Slater and Woods in midfield with Tufan and Sinik on the bench. Could have brought Sinik on and attacked but instead brings off our only striker for another centre half and defends it. ****ing **** manager.
Re Seri and Tackling back. When he lost the ball on a number of occasions he fought and got the ball back, which is good news if he continues doing it since it was essentially missing from his game previously. He often is in tight situations where he is bound to lose the ball on occasion, getting it back allows to continue to push forward usually in a situation where the oppositions press is disorganized.
He did. What I was alluding to before is that he did the hard yards last season by making us to tough to beat/ tightening defence and then with those signings, he never kicked on. I fell Ros has had to go back to basics (making us tough to beat/ tightening defence. I’m sure Ros won’t make the same mistakes
I don't think Shota did anything particularly well, other than play Fleming, KLP and Greaves on the same side of the pitch where their natural link up play got us over the line in enough games to pull us to safety. We were also riding a natural high following the takeover (even under Grant we experienced it against Blackburn and Bournemouth to an extent).
Thank **** the first game back on a freezing day was away so I didn’t have to sit through that dross whilst been frozen to the bone. in truth, the new one touch passing system one month on still looked like causing more goal opportunities for the other team than us. And Watford should have stolen the points at the end - a glaring missed opportunity by them rather than great defence on our side.
That passage where we passed back and forth between a defender (McLoughlin?) and Ingram was heart in mouth stuff and as it predictably did, turned into a clear chance for Watford which we somehow got away with. Playing out from the back is a great approach, playing around at the back is only asking for trouble.
It’s great he’s got the philosophy, but we don’t have the team to do it well yet. So he either needs the patience from the fans/owner or it’s pretty much pointless starting it now because we’ll likely lose more than we win with the current squad playing like this and without time that just means he’ll be sacked and replaced and then we have to start all over again
You have to play around to create the space to play forward though, no one is just going to let us pass forward without being opened up. And the thing is, it's working! We're getting up the pitch and creating chances in every game. Yes Watford should have won it at the end but Tufan should have scored earlier too. On the whole it was an even game despite us being away at supposedly a better side. That's real progress vs where we were and this way of playing is a huge part of it. There is an element of risk and we will concede goals doing it at times, but hoofing it aimlessly whenever you're put under pressure also isn't without risk, it means you'll get pinned back and not be able to have the possession and chances that we've had in our games under Rosenior. My only worry about this style of play is that people aren't accepting it. I really think we need to get behind it and enjoy that we're finally playing the kind of football good teams play. If the home crowd is constantly groaning at every pass in our own half it really is going to make things harder. The amount of complaints I'm seeing about the style of play, even though it's working well by every measure, is starting to concern me.
Yeah I guess I just mean in that specific case which has happened a few times (was how Cardiff scored against us after HT), where we pass to the keeper and the keeper has no idea where to go as he'll be bollocked if he just gets rid. Having just seen my country concede to Argentina doing the same thing, I just don't see how it's justified every single time.
Jeez far too many on here want the perfect performance the perfect selection all action all out attack stuff that to be honest does not exist . 1-0 up 3 minutes from the end and you’ll be wanting us to all out attack to get two . I said on Sunday we were playing to manage a very talented team at home , us with a very limited squad what the f*** do you expect us to do? I saw organisation , hard to beat , hard work mobility and some decent football , better at times than I’ve seen for some time - it was heart in mouth and yes the play out from the back was at times iffy BUT. It created room for us to attack which we did . Players will make errors , under hit and over hit passes or be slow on the ball at times , that’s why Macca was in for Figs , Rosie has been here about 7 weeks and this is a massive improvement- remember there are 11 other players on the pitch making it hard for you to do what the fans want . When the squad is stronger this will be much better in my opinion. Before Rosie we would have been out of shape enough to easily concede n a game like this . Have a bit of patience and when you are wrapping your better half’s presents make sure they look as well presented as those on the Christmas ads - if they don’t you are human too!!! LOL
Not at all, just mentioning a specific example which has happened a few times now, once leading to a goal, and on this occasion to a clear chance. Merely suggesting we need a get out clause for keepers to peg it long in such a situation. Confidence and understanding will come in time.
Isn't the wumming by this fake account rather stale? At least when big vern wums he ends up with a painful bumming!
Watford pressed our defence hard at the start of the game and looked dangerous, but thankfully they didn't continue doing it as the game went on. I remember Ingram just passing it out to players well marked in front of him, that led to their first chance, the accurate but weak shot towards the corner that Ingram saved. It may be both teams were off the pace after the break. The idea that the break would somehow do the opposite and make players more game ready seemed overly optimistic.
He's done that before. He was out for quite a while so took a bit to get his fitness up again but he's regularly been praised even towards the end of Shota's time in charge.
Suspect that once we have some. Pace. On the flanks we'll see more use of that particular out ball, but knocking it long simply for It to come straight back gets us pinned and under more pressure at the moment.
