You're most welcome Aski. Hope you enjoy the crack in the lower Leagues as apparently it was the best of times according to some
We're Leeds United and should never ever be anywhere near League One again. As stated at the time...I'd rather have reformed in non league football than allow that shyster Bates to still own our club.
All the same, he keeps losing the big games. The England football team needs a new head coach/manager.
For Milky’s benefit my view is that Southgate will never win anything, has taken England as far as he can and is too set in his ways, too many favourites and slow to adapt to changing circumstances. Woke has nothing to do with it…. Southgate was lucky as nobody wanted him as a manager after his crap period at. Boro, he went to the FA as U21 coach and was doing a good job with all the kids who were coming through our academies. When Big Sam went he was given the full England role and he got rid of the big time Charlie’s and used his U21 players and di well with these kids who went with him all the way to Euro final, WC semis etc. however he has been shyt for 12 months and England have been shyt too and this years results leading up tothe MwC prove that with only 1 win and losing loads to lesser teams relegation from the Nations League etc. the parties over, or should be
For a replacement that will get lots wound up. Steve Cooper a coach who worked at the FA with Southgate but he actually won the U17 World Cup with them and if you read up on him his record is very very impressive all the way through his coaching career and then leaving England what he did at Swansea and then at Forest and doing what Southgate did using his former England kids at Swansea and Forest…..
The same. The only difference is in 2018 they got a bye to the semi-final. This year they only got a bye to the quarter final
Afternoon bud. If it was a choice between Giroud and Moore last January when we had no strikers available then obviously Giroud is the man to bring in. At the time, we were desperate for a focal point to get us up the pitch instead of persevering with the 'soon to be a Leeds legend" (that was you @Jammy 07 who said James was a top signing and future legend?) Dan James getting battered by centre halves and giving it away every time. The board were saying there were no options available and I merely suggested that they were talking bullshit as Bournemouth signed Kieffer Moore for a measly £6 million quid. Moore would have been an improvement on James up front at the time. And while I'm here I will address the 'best of times league 1" comment. League 1 was ****. **** football, **** grounds, **** owner. The atmosphere at ER when we started on -15 points was the most 'us against the world' I've experienced and that first season was a tidal wave of emotion. I personally enjoyed that. Doesn't mean I want to go back there but I enjoyed the togetherness of the fans which I hadn't seen for many a year. Only when Bielsa came have I seen it since. Even now the fans are divided on the owner, manager. I hate that. ER is rocking and a fortress when everyone is pulling the same direction. It doesn't happen often but I always remember those periods fondly. The first season in League 1 was one of them imo. Maybe it was the Cornish Rattler Cider...
How does he keep losing the big games? When you play knockout football one defeat and that's the end of it. Are the games leading up to that defeat not big games?
They are only big when you lose mate. You should know that. In all honesty I'd like to see England attack a bit more. Southgate is a bit conservative with the options he has. Get Bielsa in and let's have some fun with the national team.
When we were in L1 it was the most United that I remember the supporters and players being. Us against the rest. Great craic it was,
My memory must be different to yours. Didn't Chelsea scumbag Denis Wise manage us in L1 until he jumped ship in the January and that was after his side kick Poyet had already walked out on us. Gary McAllister then came in and was sacked about a year later due to poor results. But yeh all united and pulling together so must have been great. Presumably though you're referring to our promotion season, which fair enough I'd imagine was enjoyable even if we were still owned by shyster Bates and averaged crowds of only 24,000.
I'm talking about my experience from the time we got relegated to L1 and obviously our rise back to the Championship. I just enjoy going to watch Leeds Utd and I'm not interested in the politics with the managerial set up or the board. I don't give a **** if you or anyone else thinks other wise. I'll say it for the last time. I ENJOYED THOSE DAYS.
I’d say 24000 in division 3 is pretty amazing and not that I want to talk on behalf of shako but I’m thinking his point is relegation isn’t the death of the club.
Of course it’s not. We want to be in a division we can properly compete in. If we haven’t the resources for the pl then absolutely nothing wrong with rejoining the wbas, cardiffs etc
