could have the flexibility to move between 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-2-1 ; which Clarke and Roberts don’t offer so easily.
It’s freezing cold and he’s had a muscle injury. Doubt there’s much more to it than that. It’s not the night to be returning from injury
To be fair I would not risk LND when it is -4. Real danger of muscle injuries if you are not 100% fit.
That team should be good enough to compete, solid at the back and enough going forward Clarke on the bench to bring on when they are tired
My preference would have been to start, Roberts , Cirken and Clarke. Totally pace and intensity. Seems we have went a little more conservative but hoping we hold the ball better. Be an interesting watch.
I agree with it wholeheartedly and I know I’m being facetious but the way this is written from Mogga makes it sound like he prioritised the bounce game in midweek over this one
3,4,3,1 is my guess. Surprised Clarke has been left out, but not been at his best of late and may benefit from a rest. OaU
can’t see it being a back three as there’s nobody who’d be left wing back in this side. reckon it’s - flexible 4-2-3-1 that easily swaps into 4-3-2-1 and back depending on how the game is
You could well be right, makes more sense than my back 3, and we do play a flexible system under TM as you say.
