What's the point of having a heated pitch I know this game will not go ahead due to a bit of snow and how many of these 5 winnable games will ? If it is for away supporters just tell them not to travel, typical we did not play at 12.30 on Saturday. There will be thousands of cars etc going through Sunderland today I want to tonight whatever the weather.

It won’t be the snow, some of the streets around Roker are still like an ice rink (definitely the marina). Hopefully it melts during the day but the fact it’s on Sky will mean it probably goes ahead.

Been out and about just now. Roads are fine. Estate roads a bit icy, but absolutely no reason to be calling games off

Got my clothes sorted for tonight.

T Shirt, shirt, jumper, 1973 top thick winter coat, socks and walking socks on top of those new thermal base leggings and jeans.

    plus hat scarf and gloves.

I've gone for thermal base leggings and top, 1973 top, SAFC dri-fit trackie top, jeans, thick winter coat, thermal hat, gloves, snood thing for round me neck and face. Trying to find my thick winter socks.

That should be fine, if not a few pints will keep the cold out.

Edit. Just found a pair of thick wooly 'toastie' socks

Pretty same here. Hands are the issue for me - Raynaud's disease means that even spending £100 on gloves from Canada, plus countless hand warmers my fingers will be blue by the end of the night

I used to warm them in the gravy of a Cowboy meal in the Roker Park days :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Hmm, I am not sure, but I may be a wimp and be imbibing a hot toddy in front of the wood stove... excuse may be although I might have dodged Covid (my son just had 5 days off work with it) I am just about the end of a sore throat and head cold.

The general rule, as I understand it, is 5 days off?

My son caught it off a medic, she took 5 days off, Sunderland Council is 5 days off.

My wife (she is always off) and son both proved positive, the g'kids and me didn't. Although we had sore throats, coughs and high temperatures.

I had it a few weeks ago and worked from home for the week which our company are advising, personally I think it's sensible if you can work from home and reduce contact then you should. I'm lucky that my job means I can work from pretty much anywhere but I get why people aren't testing anymore. That went out the window as soon as people had to pay for the tests. I was rough as owt for a couple of days mind, worse than the first time.

Anyway, thread has gone off on a tangent so I'm predicting 2-0 :emoticon-0100-smile

I'm going for a 2-1 win for the lads. Amad and Stewart bagging the goals.

get the skis out for tonight i reckon, went past the SOL about 2.30pm and quiet, there's a fog starting though. A chance to go 7th though, and a great set of fixtures coming up.
