Hope this Robles goalie is decent because he will have a lot of game time. Glandular fever can last a long time.

Think Rodrigo went down with it last season, not long after he had covid, so dint help him at all and why he only got 7 goals. He played mainly midfield too of course

The Yanks and the Dane should be back in training this week and should be fairly fit. Firpo should be fit this week and so too Llorente, forget Bamford again though, but hoping Sinisterra is nearly sorted and if we get Summerville back we should be in a good place for City

Tbf, we were all crying out for an experienced back up incase of injury to Meslier, a Courtois was never going to come and sit on the bench. In the 2 games he's played so far, Robles has looked very accomplished

Absolutely, and that's what you need in a veteran keeper who is ok to sit on the bench. Good positioning, good distribution, but nothing that's going to excite you..

made a few mistakes so some fans got at him… but all keepers made mistakes. Plenty of Everton fans also rated him quite highly I believe.

Looks like Burnley are coming straight back up and probably with Heckingbottom’s blunts. Has Heckythump started living up to his potential maybe, even though we got rid for all the right reasons (Bielsa) he does have a decent squad to work with

Bamford is actusll fit and can train. It was a non invasive surgery to heal up a hernia. She just sort of stitched it up it was a simple procedure.

You are right of course, the Bundesliga footballer of the year, or one of the best goalkeepers in the world wouldn't improve the team one bit. I'm glad Pogba wasn't playing at his best when he played us last August and that's not even mentioning Benzema, the Ballon D'or winner Still if England are fine and really don't need to change anything I guess there will be another 14 world cups where they fail to "bring it home". If you keep doing the same things then you're likely to get the same result, you would be foolish to expect otherwise.

After spending the last few months thinking this should be Southgates last tournament he's actually won me over. Of course he's not perfect and he does have his favourites but all in all I'm happy for him to stay on.

No freakin way i gave him the benefit but he blew it against France. He shouldhave played rice and Phillips and not three up front. I would have benched Foden till later and not surrendered the midfield. One of the front three lost the ball and the french ran straight through us. They had lots of pace and needed to be contained. We put three at times on mbappe and left the middle wide open. Harry kane is slow and not world class so needs better tactics just to suit him. Southgate thought we would win with his formation but France dealt with us no problem. We created no goals from open play.

Second half we were decent and if we could have taken it to ET then who knows.

It's entirely possible that France would have got as leggy as 2 lines of chorus girls doing the can-can.

The debate was about whether Southgate should stay on or not though.

    Thoughts ?
