Bobby hates England. The fact two Chelsea subs came on to scupper our performance is like manna from heaven for him. He'll be on about it for years to come. I'm blocking the bastrd.
Wonder how the keyboard racists will cope with a white geezer missing the crucial penalty? We love a bit of scapegoating here... Compare Beckham's treat in England after 98 to Zidanes in France after he was sent off in the 2006 or 2010 final. Chalk and cheese. (See what I did there...chalk cliffs of Dover and Brie... pretty clever for me really!)
4 years ago we got a nice set of fixtures and got beat in the semi's by a team who we probably should have beaten (and then promptly did twice in the following months in the Nations League). This time around it became apparent that we actually were one of the best teams in the competition, other than France and Brazil there was no-one in the last 16 who particularly concerned me. France will now win, I suspect easily. I'm not convinced the tournament opened up, there just weren't very many teams that were actually very good at the entire tournament (France, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Argentina all lost games in their groups).
Well done France, but I hope Morocco do em in the semis. I live with a French woman btw. Thank **** she’s away this weekend (and hates football anyway).
I rate England better, especially with France’s injuries to key players. Having a **** manager in charge of a good team will still get results, in fairness to Southgate we actually played pretty well today when you consider some of the football he‘s played over the years but in general I don’t think he’s the man to lead us. The way I see Southgate in charge of England would be like putting Steve Bruce in charge of Man City, he’ll win games and probably reach a final or two but isn’t the calibre of manager to get us over the line.
On a serious note, it was a 50/50 game and we were on the bad end of it. Quite a few 50/50 decisions went against us too. Win that and its pretty much a final against a very overrated Argentina side. We played better than I thought we would against France. Right, I've got to go and hang my Harry Kane effigy of the lamp-post outside. Enjoy your evening guys.
Might not be too popular.... but if France put Morocco out then I'll be rooting for the Argies ... not for the country... but Messi... ... doing what he is still doing at his age is quite incredible and he is IMHO the best player I have watched since Maradona ...
You been rcling things all world cup. I'm holding you to blame that we somehow played better but lost. Classic rcling
