Ref was abysmal,we were on top. Can't blame big Kane for that,he's man enough to take them.

    Henderson,who I don't often praise,was outstanding...

Also but what’s the ****ing point in adding 8 minutes on then France get to time waste 6 minutes of that and blow up straight after that free kick? There was at least another 2-3 minutes to go.

We saw Mbappe as a threat and tried to match him with pace.
They saw Saka as a threat, so they just tripped him up.

France are the first team to win a wc match after giving away two penalties since 1966

    Kane should have scored
Referee was a weird fella one of the worst I have seen for both sides.
    Strong crop of young players
France are not that good Argentina or Croatia will lift the trophy.
We have too act quickly with Southgate’s replacement

We haven’t disgraced ourselves. We played really well against the reigning champions, the better team by far. Just weren’t clinical enough.

    One of those. It happens.

It’s nice to finally be able to be proud of our national team.

You can still be proud of your team.

    Unlike me.

Two messages I’ve just received from a mate, who’s from Frankfurt. <laugh>

Well that was gut wrenching, first half they benefitted from some curious decisions by the ref but second half I thought we lifted our game and could and should have at least gone to extra time. Feel so sorry for Kane, the pressure he must have been under must have been skull crushing, 2nd pen of the game against a guy he plays alongside, with 6 mins left of the game, hells bells I'd do well to be able to stand up me knees would have been knocking so much. Alas not to be, I thought France would beat us but the lads got stuck into them, and in fairness we deserved something there. Well done boys, you win some ya lose some. But one minor crow, wtf was that ref on !!!

Not that I want him to....but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. A more backroom technical role over seeing all levels, could be of interest to him

Funny what we see isn't it? I saw a side that was organised across the piece, quick on the ball and quick turning defence into attack, they also had Griezmann. Hernandez on their left looked a bit dodgy towards the end though. I thought we looked laboured, especially first half, a bit one-sided and we didn't create enough clear openings. Lots of endeavour but without the killer touch.

Don’t think we started well in fact poor first half however on the end of two bad decisions. Second half we were the better side and a missed pen which as cost us again. Two decent sides and overall we more than matched them. It’s such a fine margin sometimes between winning and losing.Gutted tonight and hope city can cheer me up tomorrow.
